Visiting - due to protected meal time the home are advising relatives and other visitors to avoid as much as possible.

The home have a small car park at the rear of the building which can be used by visitors especially in the afternoon. Alternative King Street Public car park is 2 minutes walking distance from the home.

We take dignity, respect, and quality of care very seriously at Homer Lodge, so it's upsetting to learn about your experience. I want to assure you that we investigated this matter thoroughly. Our records indicate that all care provided to your father was in line with his needs. He was independent with personal care, mobilized to the toilet unaided, and there were no incontinence checks as he didn't require them. Night staff didn't recall the described incident, and documentation reflects only life and well-being checks during his stay. We also noted your father enjoyed meals, interacted positively, and expressed appreciation for the care received. We're sorry this issue wasn't brought to our attention immediately, as this would've allowed us to address your concerns directly. Please feel free to reach out so we can discuss further.
