Very good care, good staff but they always seem short staffed at the weekends. Residents need the same care all the time.

The home is nice and friendly, my stepdad has settled in well and I have noticed that the staff are quick to help when he needs it. It has reassured my mother that she has been made to feel more than welcome when she visits.

I found the staff very helpful with any questions or concerns and their treatment of the resident is excellent, the care home was clean and the security systems in place were adequate. Car parking facilities were good with the minimum of walking and I found no issues with the walkway

Although my relative has not been in Hunter's Creek Nursing Home for very long and is still going through the transition period, my initial impression of the home and the staff is very pleasing. The staff have shown nothing but kindness to both me and my relative and have dealt with her challenging
and complex needs with patience and care. The accommodation is clean and comfortable and made as homely as is possible

My husband had Alzheimer's and was a resident at Hunters Creek for the past 13 months. Sadly he recently passed away. His placement at a previous nursing home was terminated due to his unpredictability. The manager at Hunter Creek was very accommodating, and flexible and agreed to accept my husband
when no other local nursing homes would. She understood his needs and the importance of him being close to home.


He was allowed to be himself whilst he was there and he settled well and was happy. He enjoyed socialising with the staff and got on well with them. He was able to live his life to the full as much as his illness would allow. The staff team were very caring not only to him but to myself also. They were very approachable, listened and work really hard.


As an essential caregiver I was allowed to still provide 1:1 care for my husband as well as take him out on short trips in the car. I want to thank the staff for their kindness and support during a very difficult and emotional time.

My mum was a resident upstairs at Hunters Creek from February 22 to October 22. From the moment she stepped through the door it felt like home. Mum was so happy and content and all the staff from catering, housekeeping, carer's and nurses were absolutely fantastic with mum (she had vascular dementia)
everyone went above and beyond for mum and me really, a shoulder to cry on or a laugh and even cuppas all the time.
I can't express what a relief it was knowing my beautiful mum was safe and cared for and loved there.
And it felt like a family, what more could you ask for. Sadly mum passed away a couple of weeks ago but even in them dark days the staff were excellent, they were always so busy but always found time for me and mum. Even the managers popped in to see how we were, now that's a level of service, when they are so busy. I even miss going now, I might pop in for a cuppa.

My Father, who had Vascular Dementia, was cared for in Hunter's Creek Nursing Home for just over a year. The staff were always friendly and cheerful. They always answered our questions or found someone who could. After he died, my Mother and I had the difficult task of collecting his belongings. This
was made so much easier for us by the staff coming into my Father's room to offer condolences and telling little anecdotes about him and what a lovely, gentleman he was. A member of staff helped us carry his belongings right to the car. They were so thoughtful and we are thankful for the kindness and care that they gave my Father.

My mother has been in Hunters Creek for several months now.
My wife and I just wanted to say how pleased we are with the care and support my mother has received.
When visiting we are always met with smiles from all the staff and nothing is too much trouble for them. They take the time to explain any
worries or concerns we have and this helps us to cope with the fact that she is now in a home.
We are sent photos of when she engages in tasks and it is so nice to see her smiling and happy.
The manager and all other staff are so good with the residents and encourage them to take part and it is clear to see that the residents love the staff.
The home is like one big happy family and whilst visiting we are made to feel part of that.
Putting a loved one into a home is never easy but seeing how well she is treated and looked after helps immensely.
Thank you Hunters Creek you are all amazing and we love you for your care, patience and understanding.

Although my Mother was only a resident for the last 3 months of her life, l have to say that she absolutely loved the staff, and her opinion of Hunter's Creek Nursing Home was that it was her Hotel and she was there on a holiday. When she was taken into the local hospital - she just wanted to go back
to her hotel where she had the utmost fantastic care. The whole team were always on top form and so accommodating, we are so grateful knowing that our Mother's last few weeks were in such a well organised, caring home and she felt safe and loved. Her last words l can remember today are "l am so lucky to be living here with such caring Angels". I think this says it all.
Well done the whole Team at Hunters Creek, l hope you all continue to stay safe and well. Thank you all for everything

Our brother was with you for seventeen weeks on end of life care. Family and friends visited on a daily basis sometimes at odd hours. Our review shows the way everyone looked after him and the family. The two unticked boxes mean he could not take part in any activities and his care was funded by others.
All the family are most grateful for the way our brother was looked after and treated.

Well run caring and nursing facility. Complaint - very poor at dealing with phone calls, very often no one answers. Weekends it is hopeless, it needs attention.

This home has gone downhill in the last two years, it was a lovely clean and fresh smelling home. Now they are nearly always short-staffed and they are in and out as fast as they can, which is not good for residents who have mental issues. Some of them who need hoisting takes more time. My husband has
gone from doing things for himself to being more or less reliable on the carers. They don't even have time to nip in and give him a sip of drink.

Mum seems very happy here, so this makes me happy. Was slightly disappointed after ringing twice on Monday this week asking how Mum was, being told both times I would get a callback but did not receive one.

I would like to say a massive thank you to the whole team at Hunter's Creek, Boston for the care and support you have given to my husband. The care my husband received was outstanding which is a testament to the management and staff at Hunter's Creek. Every member of staff treated him with such love,
compassion, respect and I can't thank you enough for this. My husband who had dementia was very happy there and thoroughly enjoyed the wonderful homemade food! There are no words to express how grateful me and my family are for all the hard work, love and care you gave him.

My mother has been in the home over 5 years now and has seen various management changes. The current management now seems to be more stable athough I do feel that they are short-staffed at times. My mother particularly enjoys the interaction with staff and the activities and has always complemented
the activities coordinator on her commitment to arranging things for the residents. I do feel that there is not so much entertainment now but understand that the current pandemic has affected this. I really feel that the home should offer more trips out as there are residents that would enjoy this and I know my mother, in particular, would. This very rarely occurs and I feel the homes as a group could/should purchase their own transport to facilitate this and add to the quality of life for residents (if they can build 2 new homes in the last 3 years they surely can afford this). The care appears good, staff are friendly and the home is always clean, rooms a little small. Would recommend it.

Lovely home, run on a shoestring. Only 7 carers for 91 rooms. Carers are either very good or very poor. One nurse can be very hostile, telling Mum she's not got any pain, she's putting it on. The last time Mum had fractured her shoulder in 2 places and spent 16 days in hospital. Manager is very good
and will act on any problems reported to her, but most residents are scared to report thing because it rebounds on them. Food, cleanliness and activities are very good.

My brother has learning disabilities, so at times it can be difficult to understand him if he comes unsettled, due to him not listening and absorbing what he has been told. My brother has become very settled with the staff, and especially the manager. My brother's close friend died and we were concerned
about how my brother would react to the news, but with all the support from the staff and the manager, he has coped amazingly well. I must mention the cleaning staff/team, who have supported his too. It has helped my brother so much having the entertainments provided by the home, as the benefits enormously from this - the entertainments staff, in particular, are so supportive to my brother, it is so nice how they pass on how my brother has gained from different activities to the family too.
