Before my father begun his stay at Madeira House I visited several times. Each time the staff were friendly and welcoming. The home assessment was completed very well done.
The room was small but well furnished. The chef and his staff paid a lot of attention to likes and dislikes of my father. He spent
seven weeks in all and I would certainly consider another stay if needed.
The activity staff were excellent always had time to chat and listen to my concerns.

The management team are always very helpful and friendly and ready to give advice. I appreciate there are pressures in general running of homes not made any easier by the shortage of regular staff the existing regular staff, on the whole, are very dedicated and hard working. Very definitely compliments
to the resident chef who produces a variety of good wholesome well-prepared meals.

Having recently visited a relative who currently resides in Madeira House Nursing Home, I must say that that I am very pleased with the service which is being provided there. The care staff and management team are very highly skilled in their job roles and consistently maintain a happy and warm attitude
in carrying out their jobs, as well as looking after the residents' guests.
Additionally, it is so pleasing to know that I can rely on the staff at Madeira House to look after members of my family with such high levels of excellent quality care, and affording them the dignity that they desire in their old age; every need is taken care of, and this gives me great confidence and delight in knowing that one of my loved ones is happy and cared for whilst living in Madeira House.

This is a lovely home. All of the staff are friendly and supportive. There is always someone available to talk to if you have a question or worry. The food is great and the manager always lets you stay and eat lunch or dinner with the person you have come to visit. They have activities on all the time
and I quite often join in with a game of bingo! They have a lovely little dog called snowy who we see wandering around all the time.

My grandfather was a resident here, the quality of care is impeccable and all of the staff are so friendly. Residents get 24/7 care and comfort from the care staff and I'd definitely recommend this home to anyone, the home is a great home to everyone else.

My biggest personal achievement to date is completing my level 5 diploma in leadership for health and social care and children and young people's services.


Caring has always been my passion and I find it to be an incredibly rewarding experience to be a part of the Madeira House family.


We have a fantastic team here at Madeira House that is passionate about delivering outstanding care to all our residents.
