Swanholme Court Care Home is located in a quiet residential area of Lincoln close to Hartsholme Country Park. The home provides residential care in 25 ground and first floor single rooms. Rooms are spacious in accommodation and residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms with their own furniture.

Residents enjoy a variety of activities provided by the dedicated Well-being and Activities Coordinator, activities are tailored to resident's individual preferences and they are encouraged to continue to enjoy their hobbies and interests. The adjacent Social Outreach Centre provides a hair salon, chiropodist, library and shop.

The home has a warm, welcoming atmosphere and excellent relationship with the local community. Resident's families are encouraged to participate in life at the home and regularly join in with events and activities.

I very much enjoyed my time in Swanholme Court visiting a friend who lives here. The residents were all content and happy in their home. It is a beautiful place and has a positive, welcoming vibe. I would highly recommend this home to my family and friends. The staff were also very friendly and polite.

Under the previous owners the property was tired and the care for some a little patchy. However, the improvement is marked. The staff are wonderful, caring and always keep me informed about my Mothers health. She is clearly very well looked after - the atmosphere happy and positive. I am very confident
leaving my Mother, who suffers from advanced dementia, in their care. Visitors are made very welcome and the redecorating is great.

First impressions clean, friendly atmosphere, room size for Mum accommodating with own shower and washing facilities, staff always on hand, cheerful and friendly, activities most days where residents can join in. All in all, Mum is happy and content, as are all members of her family.

On arriving at the care home with my 94 year old mother we were greeted with smiles and friendliness and promptly asked if we would like a cup of tea, which we accepted. First impressions were how clean and tidy the home was with good security. The staff then showed Mum her room, which again, was tidy
and clean. The staff are very courteous and helping Mum is never a problem. Chief carers are very obliging and sort any problems promptly.

Swanholme Court has a very high standard of care within a super-clean, inviting, homely atmosphere; tastefully decorated.
My Father is the oldest resident there (96 years) as he was transferred quickly there from being very ill in hospital.
My Father is treated in the home as I would expect to be
cared for as his confidence and mental wellbeing have greatly improved.
The home is working on his mobility issues, and outside help on request with physiotherapy has been arranged as well.
Visitors are welcome anytime and I'm always able to discuss anything regarding my Father's care.
Dad has a smile again, which was lost before.

My Mother was a resident at Swanholme Court Care Home for just under a year until she died on 3.11.2017. Prior to that, she had been a resident there twice before on a respite care basis. As I had looked after her in her own home for about 10 years, it was a difficult decision for me to hand over her
care to somebody else, however, she had got to the stage where she needed around the clock care and I just could not provide that for her at her home any more on my own.
I knew from her times there before on a respite care basis that she would be very well looked after there by the staff. I knew that my mother was happy there because she never once asked me to take her home and if she had not been happy there she would. My mother also required a gluten-free diet as a registered Coeliac but this never seemed to be a problem. My mother got on well with all the other residents and staff. Finally, the staff were great with my mother and me and this continued after my mothers d

The staff at the care home were very caring to my wife during her final days. They had shown an interest in her previous working life and attempted to get my wife doing interesting tasks, such as cake making, table games etc. My wife's clothes were always clean and pressed and her personal hygiene well
maintained.
The extra cost of living there was more than repaid for by the care and attention shown to my wife.

After a short spell of respite mum became a permanent resident just over a year ago. All the staff are helpful, friendly, professional and very caring. The food is always of a high standard. There are regular activities and days out and the communal areas and garden are bright and welcoming.
We are
very happy with all aspects of Mum's care and really believe she couldn't be anywhere better.

It's a nice clean and very friendly home, I know mum needs a carers 24/7 which is sad. She loves going to the day centre when it's open, it's just a shame that the two buildings are not allowed to work together (meaning the day centre facilities).
The staff are great with her.

My father was a temporary resident whilst my mum was in a transitional care bed next door at Eccleshare Court. He spent his first week in there whilst she was in hospital was encouraged to join in activities. He settled very quickly and was reassured by the staff (he had Alzheimer and is often bewildered).
Once my mum was next door, my dad was taken round after breakfast to spend the day with her and brought back after tea. The staff at both homes co-operated to make sure that their stay was a pleasant experience.

Lisa is our Manager at Swanholme Court and has many years’ experience in caring for older people. Lisa has been with Country Court for over 15 years, previously managing Swanholme Court and working as Deputy Manager at its sister home Eccleshare Court. Her hard work and dedication were recognised with a staff award for treating residents, staff & relatives with dignity, respect, care & compassion.

Dawn has worked at Swanholme Court's sister home since 1996 as a care assistant, before moving on to become the Wellbeing and Activities Coordinator here at Swanholme Court. Dawn is now a carer at Swanholme and loves to spend time with the residents, getting to know them and their interests.
