I am so happy that my dad is in Argyle House care centre.
Everyone is so kind and happy and really look after him. The food is really lovely and well presented, hot and always looks tasty.
They have a great cook.

This care home is always clean and tidy.
The residents seem well cared for.
There is plenty of in-house entertainment, including TV, games and a craft room, there is a program of entertainment, including by outside entertainers and outings.
There is ongoing consultation and communication with residents'
families.
The overall impression is that staff are very competent, caring and professional and always ready to listen.

Argyle House has provided my dad with a warm, comfortable and homely environment where he is respected and well cared for. The staff are first rate and although busy and time-limited, put their residents first. The food is excellent and residents have their personal choices met consistently.

Since my brother has come to this home, the staff have been marvellous. As he was being sick a lot they checked his medication and found food which he had to avoid. Since this, my brother has been much happier.

I have been visiting a resident at Argyle House for a little over a year and have been very impressed with the home... it feels "homely". The most impressive thing to me was that the home provides for far more than just the physical needs of its residents, which is encouraging in times when finances
everywhere seem stretched. The staff are great and seem genuinely caring and respectful in their dealings with residents.

My friend is a recent resident. I visit him about once a week. He seems comfortable and well looked after, also in good spirits. The home has a friendly atmosphere, and the staff are also friendly and helpful.

Very clean welcoming entrance, nice layout of the rooms very comfortable, the lounge is very good with a dining room nicely laid out giving the appearance of a hotel.
The staff are very friendly and welcoming to visitors, and also appear caring to the residents.
There is an up to date timetable of
activities for every day, which is on display for all to view.
The outside is well laid out, with clear parking spaces, well lit at night when it is dark.

This home is a good home but does need some updating. Staff are very good but not enough are experienced, at this time agency staff are being used who do not know the resident's needs.


There is a good atmosphere here and everyone is welcome the management go out of their way to make sure everything

runs smoothly. Food is adequate but not thoroughly thought through and could be better. On the whole, Ok.

We always ensure that the home is staffed with the appropriate numbers, therefore it is necessary when we have a vacancy to use agency staff to provide adequate cover. We endeavour, when possible to use regular agency staff. Whilst they are with us we encourage agency staff to be part of the team and all staff attend regular staff meetings ensuring the company expectations and standards are met. Our recruitment to date has been successful and has resulted in a higher staff retention, further strengthening our staff team. With regards to the food, we understand mealtimes are a big part of the residents day and are always happy to take menu recommendations and requests from both residents and families.
