My Dad was discharged from hospital to Brownlands in need of nursing care. We had been looking after him at home with carer support and were very worried about leaving him in a home as he was blind, demented and bed-bound following numerous strokes, and so was very vulnerable. We need not have worried
as the care he received was humbling. Every member of staff made us feel welcome, and my Dad was cared for so attentively, but also with great compassion and dignity as he went on to receive end of life care there.
In the current climate of safeguarding concerns regarding vulnerable old people in care facilities, we were touched by the care and genuine warmth extended not just to Dad, but to the whole family at this difficult time. We were told that we could visit at any time and were provided with hot drinks, meals and constant support from the nurses and carers. I would definitely recommend this nursing home, and only wish my Dad had been there longer.

The staff at Brownlands Nursing Home took excellent care of my mother. She was only with them for a few weeks, but they took her to their hearts and treated her with kindness and compassion. I can't thank them enough for what they did.
