Although the interior of the building is in much need of improvement, the care given to my husband and me in the last 2 weeks of his life was exemplary, with kindness, love and professionalism to the utmost degree. They are very special people and long may they continue the excellent work.

I would highly recommend this nursing home. I am impressed with everything they do. All of the staff know the residents personally and treat them with the dignity and respect we would all like to receive. Every aspect of the home is excellent. It was recommended to me by a former discharge nurse locally,
as being the best home to choose and I am so glad I did.

From the moment Mum arrived, she has been given the best of care and attention. There is a constant programme of entertainment, along with a weekly hairdresser. Mum is always clean and her clothes are laundered perfectly. The staff are always cheerful and approachable. The meals are prepared for Mum's
needs beautifully. Thank you all.

Sadly my sister-in-law had to enter nursing care at just 49. The care, consideration and dignity that has been afforded her since her arrival, has been exemplary. All staff work to the highest professional standards whilst remaining friendly and helpful. Nothing is ever too much trouble and we are kept
informed of my sister-in-law's welfare, care and any health issues she may have, at all times. We have nothing but praise for The Old Vicarage and its staff and highly recommended it.

This was mum's second time at The Old Vicarage, but this time it was for end of life care. From day one till the sad day of her passing, she was treated with the utmost respect and dignity. Every time I phoned to check on mum, it was never a problem with the staff to take the time out of their day to
talk to me. I would especially like to thank the Deputy Manager and the Nurse for going above and beyond their duties with myself and more importantly with mum. Once again, I can’t thank every member of staff enough for all their care and compassion. Hope you all keep safe and well.

Good, bright and cheerful, staff are always helpful.
Food is mostly good.
Garden walks are lovely.
Entertainment is excellent.

Mum has been so much happier since she came to the Old Vicarage. She looks much better, has more facial colour and always appears tidy and well cared for.
I found all the staff, without exception to be very caring, kind and helpful and mum says she gets on well with them all.

the care mum receives and feel that she is in good hands here.

My mum-in-law is always saying how well she is looked after and how lovely everyone is.

Some of the carers are very friendly and you feel like a family. They are caring and supportive. My mother-in-law likes to interact with them and you can see her happy to see them.

My husband has been a resident at the Old Vicarage since 28th September 2020. He was admitted with stage 5 Parkinsons Disease and is now completely bed-bound. He has a single room that is kept spotless and is very homely looking. All the cards he has received (I write to him every week) are displayed
on the walls around the room so that he can see them. All the staff are very kind and caring and do their best to make him comfortable. He loves the food.

Mum has been at the care home for under 6 months. Unfortunately, the previous care home left her with a grade 4 pressure sore, but in a short space of time, due to the care she has received here, it has dramatically healed. Unfortunately, she has had to be nursed in bed (to allow it to heal) but we
are hoping that soon she will be sitting out in the lounge. The nursing staff have kept us informed of Mum’s condition and Mum is always clean and, although has dementia, appears happy and very settled there.

After a stay in hospital, my dad was placed in the care of The Old Vicarage. The staff are excellent and his care is exceptional. It has been a tough time during Covid, but the staff and management have been brilliant keeping us informed and trying to find ways for the family to get to see him. I cannot
fault the care the staff are giving to my dad, they have become his second family. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this home to anyone.
