All those who I met at The Old Vicarage showed such care and compassion to my mother during her stay. Any requests I made were carried out and staff sought me out to chat and discuss Mum'[s situation and care etc. Nothing was too much trouble. Sadly Mum passed away after a brief stay and once again,
staff showed support and care to myself at the sad time. A lovely warm and friendly atmosphere generated by everyone at the Old Vicarage.

All staff very welcoming and friendly, my uncle seemed very comfortable.
Staff asked us on two occasions if we would like a drink.
My uncle had a lovely view of the gardens from his bedroom.
We were shown straight to him by a member of staff as it was our first visit.
The visit was very pleasing.

I was very happy with the care my Aunt received. None of the negatives often applied to nursing homes applied here. Staff were lovely; the rooms were fresh and clean.

Despite our reservations of mum having to go into residential care, the staff at The Old Vicarage made her comfortable and welcome from the outset. Both my mum and I quickly realised that she was in the right place! We got to know the staff very well and her care needs were thoroughly looked after.
I would have no hesitation in recommending The Old Vicarage.

Although my Mother was only in there a month before she died I was happy with the care she had. Everyone was so helpful and friendly and, as I live in Devon, they kept me in touch with everything.

Mum was a resident for around three years and passed away last August. She was bedridden with dementia. I found the staff to be empathic, with good care and regular agency staff. Think the activities for bedridden could be better but on the whole good all round.

Nurses were caring and helpful. Room was clean and tidy. Nice quiet atmosphere, easy access in and out of the carpark. Meals were very good. Recommend anyone to stay here.

Our aunt is very happy here and in her own words "has no complaints"! The meals are very good, there are choices daily and the staff very considerate to serve alternatives when my aunt cannot manage. The room is always clean and bright. Staff always helpful and friendly. There are plenty of things to
do e.g. Entertainment for residents and family. Also, staff happy to change audio books regularly. In general a very good home in all respects.

After a lot of difficulties, we transferred my wife to The Old Vicarage. It has a warm, friendly atmosphere. The staff are lovely and have been happily working there for many years, which is an endorsement of the home.
I feel the nursing home is an extension to my home and I feel comfortable visiting
my wife there every day.

My mother has been lovingly cared for over the last nearly 2 years. She has been treated with dignity and humour. Management and staff have also shown pastoral care and concern to me as we've been through several crises.

Our relative is very happy with the care given. Food is good. The staff are caring and helpful. As a visitor I appreciate the staff for being very friendly - they always come in and chat to us. Excellent choices on the menu, with good alternatives (e.g. If a person can't chew) and a lovely atmosphere
whenever I visit - calm, friendly and lots of smiles. Our aunt has settled in and likes being here very much. I always feel welcome to join in the many interesting activities when I visit. A lovely room surrounded by her photos and possessions - Aunty loves it.

I am happy that parents-in-law have settled into this home.
The staff are caring, know the residents and speak to them as if they are old friends.
Particularly the beds are really comfortable, it makes a difference - the home could have chosen cheaper beds, their care shows that they go for the best
when they can.
The beds are electric and they use pressure toppers that can vibrate regularly so the residents don't get bed sores and remain comfortable.
The sheets and duvets are always clean and smell fresh.
We've never experienced stale or old bedding.
Well done to a great caring team.
You deserve praise, you are good people.

The home itself is a beautiful well-kept building which is spotless inside and out.
The staff are most helpful to ourselves as a family by keeping us informed about what is happening with my father. The care that my father is receiving from the staff is second to none, he is very well looked after
in all respects. The food that is on offer to all the residents is of the highest standards. My father seems very happy with the care and facilities that they offer.
