Situated in the attractive village of Ruddington, and only five miles from the centre of Nottingham, Balmore House is a fine country residence that has been sympathetically converted to offer its residents high quality residential and nursing care. The home is surrounded by four acres of attractive and well-maintained grounds. The large gardens contain many well-stocked borders and trees and offer residents a choice of several places in which to sit and enjoy the warmer weather.

Balmore House offers an excellent choice of comfortable rooms for residents to call their own. As well as a nicely decorated main lounge and dining room, the home benefits from a quieter lounge which is perfect for family gatherings or for when residents and friends require a more private space.

The home aims to provide the highest quality of care for residents and their families – so professional expertise is complemented with compassion and respect when caring for everyone. My grandmother was admitted to this care home in the middle of a pandemic and this was a very distressing time for me and my family, Balmore House supported us all the way and made sure we were kept in regular contact through phone calls skype and email.
The Manager was our family's rock at this time
which made things a little easier to come to terms with knowing she was so well cared for at the end of her life.
Thank you to all the staff you truly are an Amazing team with hearts of gold.

During the few weeks mum was living at Balmore House she could not have been better looked after. She was treated with such care and dignity, tenderness and encouragement that we as a family could not have asked for anything better for mums final weeks. Every member of staff was just as caring and nothing
was too much trouble during the short time she was there.

The home provides very good care through staff which have obviously received good training. General cleanliness of accommodation and public areas is good as is laundry care. Food is tasty, fresh and plentiful. Medical staff take great care to ensure medicines are delivered accurately and to time on
a daily basis. Entertainme not activities are regular and varied. One improvement recommendation would be the installation of odour defences in the corridor and public areas.

Cannot thank you enough for the care you have given my brother. He is unable to sign things himself.
If he had to go into care again it would most certainly be to The Balmore. From the home to the staff (all of them) he has enjoyed his food and we think he looks so much better in himself.

Balmore House has provided a caring, attentive environment for my Uncle who is in the final stages of Alzheimer's.
I am so grateful to have found a team who with the guidance of their manager provides a dignified, respectful service to him.

We looked at several homes that provided nursing care. Balmore stood out as being light and airy rooms, staff that were very dedicated and the meals freshly prepared. My Father took a long time to settle but with perseverance, he is now happily joining in the singing and activities. (He has just planted
his seed potatoes.)
