Thank you for taking the time to raise your concerns on carehome.co.uk.
We are sorry your Mum experienced issues with the fitting of the hearing aids and you have experienced communication issues with colleagues. We have held staff meetings and reminded colleagues how important it is for our residents to have their hearing aids fitted correctly and encouraged the colleagues that have newly started employment with us, to offer relatives reassurance and ask support from the nurse in charge or any other senior colleagues when needed.
Please again accept my sincere apologies for the discomfort caused to yourself and your Mum.

Donna has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for residents.
Having worked in the care sector for many years, Donna closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.
When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Donna remarked:
“My favourite thing about being a Home Manager is to make people feel happy and to smile each day and to feel valued. I like to care for people and give them a better quality of life, while helping them retain their independence.”
Donna says her proudest achievement as Home Manager has been:
“Being able to deliver excellent care and having an excellent team working with me.”
Outside of work, Donna enjoys spending time with her family and dog, going on holiday, going out for walks and being out in the open air.
