My mother-in-law has been in the home for several years now and throughout that time sadly her dementia has worsened considerably.
Each stage is so different and requires different levels of care and this care has always and still is exemplary. My mother-in-law is and always has been included in activities
where possible and treated with kindness and dignity.
The home has a friendly atmosphere that is always welcoming and all staff are attentive to residents.
We are so happy we found this home after trying several others Church Farm Nursing Home is the one that didn't give up on my mother-in-law and has provided her with care and support and provided us with peace of mind. Thank you for all you do.

My mum has been at Church Farm in Cotgrave since Sept 2016 and during the past seven years, she has received a level of care which goes beyond nursing. Seeing first-hand the love, attention and devotion my mum receives on a daily basis, makes it just about bearable from a family member's perspective.
As my mum was a nurse/midwife herself, in order for her to thrive she needs to connect with people and the staff at Church Farm have been marvellous with Mum. I know for a fact that she would have withered and died without human physical touch and love and the team have given her this in abundance. Even though Mum has lost most of her faculties, her core essence requires an unconditional love and I see this freely given by individuals. This level of personal care cannot be taught or demanded and my mum would have seen through any "fakers", so for this, I will be eternally grateful. Thank you.

I wish I had never put my Mum in this care home. I did not feel there was any empathy from management.
Facts; My mum left hospital with a shadow on her lung and moved into this home The heating broke down. Her room was always cold as windows were left open. Mum constantly complained of being cold.
When she died she had a chest infection. Mum had a gold ring I bought her, this went missing and she never left the care home. I was very upset as it was of sentimental value.
When one to one care was removed my mum had some bad bruises, which were never explained. The doctors requested to see them.
LFTs were not always checked, both myself and brother witnessed this. Mum caught Covid. When I had a meal at the home it was stone cold. My mum was not eating.

This is the second care home my father has been resident in. Its focus on residents with dementia has greatly improved my father's enjoyment of care home life. The staff are patient with my father despite him being wheelchair-bound and shouting. He is unable to talk in a normal voice and weight bear
following presumed Covid in his previous home and survived. The leadership team is first class. They are knowledgeable, thoughtful, engaging with residents and very supportive of relatives.
All the team members are patient, caring and sensitive to his personal preferences. This includes sitting and watching football matches on an iPad with him. He is a devout catholic and going to church has always been of great importance to him. The team help him to watch mass. One of the carers is a sacristan and on her weekend off brings him and another resident communion.
The food is all homemade and baked. The portions are generous. Thanks to the team food is still a great pleasure to Dad

This is a fabulous care home.
Mum is treated with such care, compassion and love, the staff are amazing and all residents are treated like family.
The food is all home-cooked and delicious, everyone’s needs and dietary requirements are catered for with no corners cut.

All of the staff at Church Farm are amazing, they have welcomed Dad into his new home and have gone out of their way to settle him in. The home manager has been exceptional, from our initial visit onwards. He has supported us throughout the transition as much as he has supported Dad. Many places claim
to be "one big family" but at Church Farm, we can honestly say that they treat everyone as family. The care, respect and friendship shown to residents as well as their family is truly fantastic and very much appreciated.

My husband has received the most wonderful care and consideration at Church Farm Nursing Home, second to none. The staff are so caring both to residents and their families which makes it so much easier to bear when loved ones have to go into care. I cannot speak highly enough of the cleanliness of the
rooms all over the home and how smart the residents are kept. Cannot find one fault with Church Farm.

Church Farm is an extremely caring environment that makes their residents feel at home and welcome. My father has been very settled there and happy with his care as have I.

Always been very happy with how my mum has been looked after, she always seems very content, happy and eats very well and looks clean.
If I ever had any concerns I felt happy to call the home and tell them about them. I felt that I was always put at ease and listened to and anything that needed to

The past year at Church Farm Nursing Home Cotgrave has been challenging for all members of staff and families alike (true for all care homes!). Church Farm has met the challenge head-on. I'm sure all families would agree we could not have left our much-loved relative in better care. Management are continuing

I thoroughly recommend Church Farm Nursing Home. A lovely, homely and happy setting with lots of good food, activities, and fantastic caring staff and management. Dad has come on in leaps and bounds since taking residence over a year ago. Residents' family and friends are always welcomed and kept well
informed. The addition of a Facebook page for relatives and close friends of residents brings a smile and lets us see what is happening day to day, there is also a monthly Zoom meeting where relatives can ask questions and get updates at this time. We are more than pleased with Dad's care, he is happy and relaxed, always clean and tidy and we are extremely secure in the knowledge that he is comfortable and being well cared for. My mum has been a resident here for 3 years, the carers, management, administrators and nursing staff are all excellent. During 2020 and into 2021 they have all been the second family to the residents and have provided a safe and happy home during this time when we have been unable to be with our loved

Sadly our father has recently passed away but his time at Church Farm over the last 6 months of his life ensured he had the care and love he deserved
Dementia is a cruel disease and in the current Covid pandemic, people like Dad have suffered greatly. The manager and his excellent team ensured that
the very best medical, emotional and personal care was given to Dad. They restored his dignity

Management and staff are very professional and provide excellent care for all residents. Always ready to go "the extra mile" to ensure the best for both residents and relatives.

Our experience of Church Farm Nursing Home could not possibly be better in anyway. We are always so happy to see so many smiling faces, (on their closed Facebook page) resulting from the array of fun activities. The staff clearly go over and above.
The staff are always so caring, helpful and welcoming
towards visitors.
Church Farm has a real family feel.
Before Covid l often used to eat there, the food was always excellent, especially the homemade cakes. The manager is a caring, positive, inspiring guy, who leads his amazing team by example - fantastic.

Dad has been at Church Farm for a number of years and we’ve found them all, from office staff to cleaners to kitchen to carers and management, to be wonderful at caring for him. Maggie

Maggie Griffiths

Job Title: Manager

Joined: 2017

Maggie has worked in care for 25 years, starting her career as a care assistant. Over the years, Maggie has continued working and developing her career in elderly care becoming a deputy manager followed by a home manager in a residential care home. During this time, Maggie completed her NVQ Level 5 in Social Care Management.


Maggie then spent 18 months as a registered manager of a nursing home in Mansfield, working very closely with staff teams, residents and families to achieve positive recognition with the regulators. Maggie brings a broad variety of experience and success to her role with Church Farm Care; in providing an uncompromising approach to achieving high standards of care in the fields of dementia care, general nursing and end-of-life nursing care.


Maggie’s spare time is spent with her three children and new grandson, making sure she doesn’t miss every opportunity to make enjoyable memories for them all to share.
