Barchester Forest Hill Care Home is a custom-built home located close to Clumber Park and Thoresby Hall. Forest Hill is only two miles from Worksop town centre and the A1 and M1 are nearby, as are Doncaster, Sheffield and Rotherham.

The home provides first-class, 24-hour nursing care for people living with dementia in the Memory Lane Community, as well as support for adults living with mental health needs and associated challenges in the Portland Suite.

The aim is to offer a therapeutic environment utilising recovery models to support individuals' mental well-being. A dedicated team delivers first class person-centred care, giving people a quality of support that is unique and innovative, while ensuring individuals remain in control of their lives.

Emphasis is placed on enhancing well-being through relationship-centred support and providing an enriching day.

Please do not send your loved ones here. My mum is advanced dementia and despite being badged as dementia specialists they have no idea how to treat residents.
My mum is a pescatarian and has been for twenty years but has spent the last fourteen months being fed meat by staff at this home.
My mum's
wedding ring has been removed from her finger and is now missing.
My mum is left to her own devices most of the time and has suffered neglect and alleged abuse which is now under investigation.
Their idea of activities is leaving the TV on ITV all day.
Music around the home tuned to the local current station to suit staff rather than music to suit the average age of residents.
Ironically my mum is a self-funder and pays for this neglect and we are powerless to get her out due to Covid causing admission issues elsewhere so she is suffering in silence and can never be heard due to dementia.

As you are aware, Mum has been with you for over sixteen years. During this time she has had her ups and downs but I can honestly say you have always been there for her. Thanks to each and every member of staff, you've been absolutely great. We now look forward to having more contact with Mum, especially

My husband has been here for 13 months now. Due to COVID visiting was not allowed. I have now had a bedroom visit twice now. The staff are very caring and friendly. They made my visit very satisfying. My husband is being very well cared for which makes me very happy and content.

All the staff have been very helpful and explained the situations to me when I have asked questions. Also, they have been very welcoming too, which makes us very at ease during visiting times. I cannot thank them enough. Cannot comment on the rooms as I have not been in them yet.

My husband was admitted to Forest Hill a day before the big lockdown in March 2020. It could not have been a worse time, but the home, made every attempt to keep me and my family informed by telephone and email. Visiting, as soon as it was allowed, was organised and as frequent as possible. I like the
fact that a carer accompanied him as he has trouble hearing and two meters. Sadly my husband has recently passed away, and this was very sensitively handled by the staff.

Forest Hill Care Home is a well-run facility, credit goes to all the people who work there. The staff and management are caring, loving and helpful. They are dedicated to providing residents with the respect they all deserve. The meals provided are of an excellent standard with plenty of choices.
Forest
Hill is a very clean, welcoming care home. Both my mum and my brother are residents at Forest Hill, they receive love and care from all who work there. I speak for all my family and say that we wouldn't want Mum or our brother to be in any other place.
