My mums condition has deteriorated to an extent that she is now residing in the nursing station/section. The care she has always received has been good and relative to her.

Father-in-law is being looked after here at the end of life "fast-tracked" period. The care he has received has been given with care and compassion. The staff always have time for his needs even though they are so busy with other residents.

My father was a resident at Gateford for eleven months. His needs were met by the team. His care was carried out with sensitivity and dignity whilst engaging him with a humorous approach which suited him. As a family we were always welcomed and supported by the team which gave us reassurance. Sadly
my father passed away in late October, but he was well cared for and respected by the team until the end.

My uncle and aunt both became a resident this month, we have been made very welcome to everyone. They have gone out of their way to help us feel at home. The carers have been excellent in a very friendly and professional way. The home is set in a beautiful location and the home is very spacious allowing
people plenty of movement around the home. Other residents are very friendly and my relatives soon felt at home. It does really have feel of a five star hotel rather than a care home. Food excellent.

Hi, my name is Jane and I have worked in the care sector for nearly 30 years starting as a Care Assitant.


I joined Gateford Hill in May 2021. I am passionate about social care and improving the residents dignity, choice and involvment in their care. My favourite part at working at Gateford Hill is getting to know the people that live with us, aswell as their family and friends.
