Surrounded by serene countryside to the north-east of Nottingham, Edingley Lodge is set amongst picturesque villages, on one and a half acres of grounds. The home offers residential care. With a large orangery opening out onto this rural beauty, and the blooms of the flowerbeds and greenhouse, peace and quiet are never far away. It's also just a short ride on the courtesy vehicle to the shops, pubs and churches of nearby Farnsfield.

The home has 34 rooms, all of which are en-suite. There are three, open communal lounges, one private lounge and a well-appointed dining room, all tastefully decorated to the highest standards - so you can be proud to call Edingley Lodge your home.

Chefs prepare a daily menu of tasty, nutritional meals which may be taken in the communal dining room or in bedrooms as preferred. Special dietary requirements can be accommodated.

A dedicated activities coordinator plans daily events in the home, as well as regular excursions beyond it. Residents and their families are encouraged to participate in the planning process to make sure everyone's needs and wants are being met.

I can't speak highly enough of my stay at Edingley Lodge. Every single member of staff has been kind, caring, and very helpful. The place itself is beautiful, everywhere is spotlessly clean, and the meals are always very nice too. For anyone thinking of using Edingley Lodge, I can assure them they would

Mum has been a resident at Barchester Edingley Lodge Care Home since March this year and has settled into her new life very happily. The staff and facilities are excellent. Mum has made friends with other residents and the staff who look after her. There are many activities provided to stimulate her
and keep her busy. The food is excellent and can be tailored to the individual needs of the resident. The staff are very caring and look after Mum very well. I am glad we chose this home for her.

With very difficult circumstances, my sister and her husband were admitted to their care home. Usually fully independent and look of sound mind, this has been stressful both for them and I'm sure, care staff.
However, I found all staff to be caring and showed empathy and dignity at all times. Due to
poor vision and struggling with hearing, this sometimes caused confusion, occasionally a little conflict but staff are very understanding. The accommodation is excellent and homely, clean, pleasant. Plenty of activities for a large array of abilities. Thank you.

Beautifully furnished care home. Unfortunately, I have two stomas and none of the staff had any idea how to assist me. Food too fancy for me, due to health issues, and very plain food. Lots of clothing lost, a good £100 worth.

My mother's overall experience was very good and the day staff were extremely caring and attentive throughout her respite stay.
However, I was disappointed that I was not informed that she had had a nighttime fall and had to follow this up. It was also disappointing that my mother didn't receive support
for severe back pain during one of her night stays from the night staff.

This is the second time we have been to the Barchester Edingley Lodge Care Home for respite care.
My mother needed care while getting better from an illness and she was so well looked after by all of the team.
Nothing was too much trouble for them to make her stay resting and enjoyable.
The food,
company and surroundings all helped to make her better, she joined in the activities and met new friends. What a superb place to be in.

Barchester Edingley Lodge Care Home welcomed me for a three-week stay, having been in hospital. Every member of staff helped me gain independence on a daily basis with respect and wisdom. There is a real caring ethos with every staff member. I was encouraged to seek help whenever needed. The food is
delicious and homely and nutritious. I received support in dealing with external medical professionals. Activity programme available. Barchester managers need to ensure staff members are higher enough at all times, one or two busy periods/

The home was amazing. My mother-in-law was worried about going into respite and after two weeks stay, she was so settled she didn't want to come home. All the activities arranged she really enjoyed and the staff were just brilliant. Can't thank you enough. Coming back in June 2024.

I was in Edingley following a total hip replacement and I was very in need of care and happy to say my care was very good. The food was excellent and the staff absolutely wonderful. They work so hard. The only thing not as good as when I was in previously was the buzzer not always being answered very
quickly. The staff were run off their feet with some very poorly, needy people. Overall, I was very happy with my stay and will certainly go in again when I need care.

My mother continues to benefit from the high level of care provided at Edingley. I am confident that her complex medical needs are reviewed weekly and carefully managed. Senior staff always make time to discuss any issues arising or ongoing concerns and communication with myself is excellent. Mum benefits
from opportunities to engage with a suitable peer group and encouragement to engage in daily activities. Personal alarms have recently been introduced, which provides her with additional reassurance.

Edingley Lodge is an excellent care home facility. My mother spent three weeks there following a hospital stay. She was treated with care and compassion, and all the staff were lovely. From the surroundings to the food and the entertainment, we could not fault it. We would definitely have no hesitation
in recommending Edingley Lodge to our family and friends.

My mum has been a permanent resident at Edingley Lodge from September to November. The care and kindness she has received has been exceptional. Everyone has made her transition from her home with part-time care to the care home with full-time care very smooth. She has settled in very well knowing she
is very well looked after. All the staff have made her feel so welcome and the caring and nursing staff see to her needs with great kindness. She is checked on all day and night and nothing is too much trouble. The home is very clean with all the facilities needed for personal care and dietary requirements. I would highly recommend this home for anyone looking for around the clock care for a family member who is in need of comfort and peace of mind.

Hi, my name is Jilu Stephen and I am the General Manager at Edingley Lodge Care Home! I am a nurse by profession and completed my nursing studies in India. I moved to the UK in 2010. Since then, I have worked in the health and social care setting. I started my career in the UK as a health care assistant and I joined the Nursing and Midwifery Council. I have also worked as a registered nurse in a number of nursing and care homes. I have experience in supporting and assisting residents with many complex mental health needs. I am very passionate and honest towards my role.


I joined Barchester in 2019 as a bank nurse and worked as Deputy Manager and Clinical Lead for a year. I am now at Edingley Lodge as General Manager, responsible for running this beautiful home.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Hello, my name is Jo, I joined Edingley Lodge in March 2023. I began my career in care in 2007 in a care home as a carer which I really enjoyed making a difference to the residents that lived in care homes.


I then was given the opportunity to be enrolled in courses to complete my Level 2 & Level 3 in Health and Social care and progressing to senior care within the care setting. I then became Team Leader / Head of Care / Deputy Manager - which then gave me the opportunity to learn the management side of a care home.


I have completed my Level 5 in Health and Social care management. My role within Edingley Lodge is Deputy Manager and I’m looking forward to supporting the residents within Edingley Lodge to live a fulfilled life within the home.

I joined Barchester in 2016 and have previously worked at our sister home, Hall Park as their Home Administrator prior to progressing my career here at the home. I look forward to meeting you when you visit the home.
My role goes beyond just showing residents and loved ones around care homes; I actively engage in networking within the community to identify valuable opportunities that can enrich the lives of our residents. Linda is the Admin backbone of Edingley Lodge, She has got several years of experience in working as Admin. She joined Barchester in 2023.


She is responsible for ensuring all contracts are in place for the people we support and all the staff too. She is in charge of invoicing, payroll, purchases and takes great care of our numbers game in the home.


Linda has an open door policy and is most happy to speak with families, residents and staff that need support in the day. Linda is incredibly organised and a real team player and will always help out whenever she can.

Hello, my name is Marta Fitzerman I was born in Poland and studied in Lublin. I have worked in the care sector since 2014. I have been studying catering for 4 years and am the Second Chef here at Edingley Lodge.


I enjoy all my work and different ways of cooking especially when residents enjoy the menus so much that clean plates are returned to the kitchen, this is when job satisfaction and a great sense of accomplishment are felt.

Garry has worked for the past 30 years plus in a maintenance role, in both private schools and care homes. Garry has always enjoyed the challenge of fixing things from a young age and loves nothing more than making something out of nothing!
