My dad went to Moorlands Care Home Brinsley in May 2020 originally for respite but with a view to long time care as his dementia had deteriorated. under very difficult circumstances the management and staff cared for my dad really well. They kept me informed daily as to his well being. I would have
been more than happy for my dad to remain in the home as a permanent resident but unfortunately, he passed away there on 25th June 2020. I could not thank them enough for what they did for him in the short time he was there.
it's a lovely home in lovely grounds with dedicated, kind, caring staff and management.

We have been pleased with the care provided and appreciate the personable approach given, not only to Mum but to us as family member's too. We are kept in the loop and we are sent photos periodically, which during this time is very much appreciated. We have been allowed to see Mum, albeit from a distance
and outside, more recently, where staff have been attentive and sensitive to the current situation as well as Mum's needs. We like especially, how jovial the staff are and although I’m sure under immense pressure at the moment, always have time for us.

Both my parents have been residents. My father sadly passed just over a year ago. My mum is a resident and I have to say that I have been incredibly impressed with their handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. Communications are spot on and they have reported to me today that everyone (residents and staff)
remain without symptoms. What a great effort. I will be thinking of you again on Thursday evening.

My husband went into the Moorlands Nursing Home on the 16th January 2020. I spent as much time as I could with him as I knew it was an end of life situation. In all the time I was there, I found everyone had his best interests at heart. Nothing was too much trouble. He was kept happy and comfortable,
they were there for me too. I would recommend The Moorland Nursing Home to anyone. I certainly made the right decision for my husband.

I think my husband is very well cared for. The staff are wonderful and are very caring to the residents. There's always music on in the lounge, and the staff try to engage the residents in doing different things if they wish to. The food is very good and there's also always something to drink.

Dad has only been at Moorlands for a couple of weeks, but already my family and I are happy with all aspects of care that he is receiving. As a resident in a previous nursing home, the care and knowledge that the carers and staff have is a massive improvement. Obviously dads needs are more complex,
but nothing is too much trouble for anyone, and the family are informed and included in everything regarding Dad's welfare and health. The carers are all friendly and include us all in mealtimes if we want to eat with Dad, and are allowed to visit anytime for as long as we like - another thing the previous home wasn't happy with. Always an enjoyable visit.

Both myself and my sister cannot emphasize enough how pleased we were that our father was in Moorlands for the final two months of his life. Due to the awful disease that is dementia and it's ongoing complications, we both were visiting dad for long spells every day without fail. We were always welcomed,
looked after and treated with respect. In my father's case, he was given outstanding care, spoken to with respect and dignity, even during the hard times, and for that, we will both be eternally grateful. Many thanks.

I was very impressed with the welcome I got from both the manager and staff. I have found they interact with the residents and take great care as to how they feel. It was good to know we were welcome to visit any time and we could help feed my husband and I was always asked if I wanted to dine with
him.

All the staff and management were very nice, any problems were quickly sorted out. The home was clean and warm and the food was really good. The only negative was the other residents with dementia that were wandering about and picking things up. I know that this is something that cannot be helped but
apart from that, I had a very enjoyable stay.

All of the staff were very caring and considerate, both towards mum and myself. They kept us informed about her care as well as being on hand to answer our questions.
Nothing was too much trouble and they all took the time to listen to what mym wanted to talk about at any time.
Most important to us
was that she was comfortable, pain-free and treated with dignity right up to her passing.

Moorlands has a very homely feel, and very friendly carers and nurses. They clearly care for our Mum above and beyond their day to day duties and always make us (me, my sister and other family members) feel very welcome. They keep us very well informed.

My grandad was in Moorlands receiving care for Alzheimer’s after he passed. My grandma's health deteriorated and she requested to go to moorlands as well. The staff in Moorlands are honestly the nicest care home staff, my grandma viewed other homes and even went for respite somewhere else but ended
up preferring Moorlands. The staff here have been so helpful, not just for my grandparents but us too and have provided a lot of reassurance to us and have just been so lovely. Having dealt with our family for a few years they’ve seen every reaction possible from us and helped us through all of it, they have been amazing to my grandparents and often went in for chats with my grandma when she was unable to get out of bed to make sure she wasn’t lonely. I would not only recommend Moorlands to other people but I can honestly say if I ever need a care home this is the one I’d choose for myself.

My mum going into a nursing home has been difficult to not only her but the rest of the family.
The staff have been absolutely fantastic in trying to not only support my mum and all of us but also in trying to help keep her mood up. Nothing is too much trouble to the staff.
The only slight negative
I could put is a slight language barrier with some of the night staff. (Their English is not great and neither is my mum's speech), saying this they are still nice.

Dad moved into The Moorlands and I was quite apprehensive as I had an awful year at his previous home. I needn't have worried, right from the start we were welcomed wonderfully. All staff showed compassion and wonderful care to dad and ourselves. As dad's only daughter I can, at last, come home after
visiting and relax knowing he is being well looked after.
Dad is starting to settle in now and continues to receive excellent care. Anything he needs is quickly adhered to. I am extremely happy to recommend the home to anyone.
