Situated on Strawberry Hall Lane in Newark, Strawberry Fields is on a regular bus route and very close to the town centre's amenities.

The home is set over two floors and has both en-suite and non-en-suite rooms. All rooms are fitted with television aerial sockets and residents are encouraged to personalise their rooms as they wish. All bedrooms have a call bell facility to ensure that help is just a call away.

All corridors have toilets and bathrooms very close to the bedrooms. The home is very big and spacious and is secured by key coded doors to enable residents to walk around safely. There is a very large, well-maintained garden to the rear and side of the building to which residents have full access and is particularly pretty in the summer months.

There are two large communal lounges and one smaller lounge on the ground floor and a very large dining area that looks out on to the garden.

They have a full range of activities daily, organised by the activity coordinator. Activities range from group to one-to-one and this means that for persons who do not want to go into the communal areas, they also get the same stimulation. Activities are of course down to the individual's wishes.

The home has a full complement of staff with various qualifications ranging from NVQ Levels 2,3 and 5 and of course the regular training provided to ensure they are able to give the best possible care to residents at all times.

Excellent care. I have no worries about the care my mother is receiving. I can see that the staff care about the residents and include all residents in activities even if they don't really respond. I have been very impressed with the activity staff who encourage the residents to engage in creative and
varied activities.

A very welcoming, clean fresh environment. My family member looks so well and settled. The care staff are warm, friendly and extremely helpful. Even with the Covid lockdown, I am able to contact my family member via Skype if required. Thank you for caring for her so well.

A brilliant care home with very caring staff they go that extra mile by trying to help with anything that worries you. They help with our relatives stay the best they can. They are all happy while they are working and getting the residents to join in when they have sing-songs and dancing. They treat
the residents like family which is lovely.

It is a very loving care home. From what I see, everyone is treated with dignity and respect. Mum is well cared for and I do not have any worries at all. I know that when I am not around Mum will be ok.

I would highly recommend Strawberry Fields as an excellent care home. The staff are all well presented, friendly, professional and caring. The care home is always spotlessly clean and the living rooms and dining room all have lovely views out of the large windows. There are excellent choices of fresh
cooked meals every day and lots of different activities for residents to take part in. The bedrooms are all really homely with plenty of storage. There's always a welcoming and friendly atmosphere and staff are always happy to help.

Strawberry Fields is lovely. The staff are very helpful but more importantly kind. Nothing is too much trouble. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxed. All meals are homemade and fresh. Unfortunately, the exterior of the care home does not reflect the high standards of care found inside.

My mother is in Strawberry Fields and likes it very much. Her family are very pleased with the care that she is receiving. The staff are all very pleasant and really good with our mum. We always feel comfortable when we visit mum. Our mum seems very happy whenever we call and visit her.

I find the care home very clean and tidy when I visit. The staff are all very friendly and nothing is too much trouble for them. The staff are constantly dealing with the needs of residents. They try and get the majority of the residents to interact with the activities within the home, ie quiz, bingo,
baking, pamper days. The residents all seem content and happy within their surroundings. I enjoy coming for my visits.

I visit on occasions with my little girl.
Staff are well presented and friendly. The home always appears clean and well maintained.
I am always made to feel welcome by staff who take the time to chat.

My husband is in the middle stages of Alzheimer's Disease. This home was chosen for him as it claims specialist knowledge of Alzheimer's and speech difficulties. During his several months' residency, issues arose.
These included daytime staff supervision, night-time staff ratios, staff training and
experience, protocol following injury, laundry, cognitive stimulation and hygiene. Residents' behavioural difficulties seemed largely uninformed by outside expertise. Many of the care assistants were lovely, compassionate people who absolutely did their best every day for the residents.
The home itself looks quite institutional on the outside but is pleasant and light-filled inside, and the dining room looks out over the peaceful and extensive lawn area. The home has potential to be a caring and compassionate space for people who need professional care and human kindness as they reach this most vulnerable stage in their lives.

Staff here excellent, nothing too much trouble. Family included in all things. Any concerns they rang us and vice versa. Food very good, entertainment and activities excellent. Manager knew her residents and their needs. Cannot speak highly enough of all aspects of this home, would not hesitate to place
a member of my family there. As a last resort of course as this is not what we wish but needs change and you need to be realistic.

From day one my father was looked after by staff with the greatest of dignity. Nothing was too much trouble. The laundry was presented back in drawers and wardrobe clean and well ironed.
The room was cleaned regularly carpet kept nice and clean. Nothing was too much trouble regarding dietary wise anything
asked for was soon presented. The last couple of weeks whilst my father was feeling unwell I was kept very well informed and asked when they thought I needed to be present. Cannot fault the care in any way.
