My mother moved into Stoneyford care home in July 2024. Mum has been really well cared for. The staff are very caring towards all of the residents. They are amazing people who do a fantastic job. The home is kept very clean and tidy. The whole team work very hard. They always communicate well with me
in terms of anything to do with mum. Security is good at the home, meaning that mum is kept safe. The building is well maintained and is looking good. Overall we are very happy with the service provided and the level of care.

My mother has resided at Stoneyford for the past 3 months and the managers and their team have been nothing but amazing in their support and care for my mum
I can feel comfortable and assured that my mum is in the best hands and they're seeing to all her needs.
My mum was initially concerned about
staying in a care home/residential home but after a few weeks my mum adores the place, and its staff from the catering, and cleaners through to the carers and entertainers she's having fun.
Cannot thank the team enough!

My father moved into Stoneyford Care Home in July 2024. The whole team, from management to cleaning staff are exceptional in every way. The level of care and kindness that my father receives is more than we could ever hope for and it gives us a great sense of peace that he's safe and so well cared for.
The accommodation is excellent, clean, tidy and well-maintained. The food is superb, with plenty of variety and choice, even for the fussiest of eaters. The staff are angels and couldn't give better care. We're delighted and so thankful to have found somewhere so lovely for Dad. A huge thanks to a particular staff member and the whole team. You're doing an incredible job.

In the last month, I have appreciated all the staff and management for keeping the home and residents clean and well cared for. Staff have managed to settle my husband in. He also seems to be happy with everyone. Activities well appreciated.

Stoneyford feels like home. From the moment you step inside, the friendly staff are there to help. They are flexible to your needs. Visiting Mum in the hospital meant the need for an early or late tea.
Dad has coeliac disease, and the cook made lots of different meals and some amazing cakes. Overall,
a lovely place to stay.

I was away when Dad went into respite. I visited the home before I agreed for him to go in and was very impressed The room he was offered was clean and homely. The manager and staff were lovely. I took him in and fetched him home, so never actually saw him during his stay.

My mum has dementia, and she moved into Stoneyford Care Home in September 2019. This is a lovely care home, and Mum is really well looked after. The management and staff are really friendly and go above and beyond in the care that they give to Mum. She is really happy there. The food is excellent, and
there is a good range of activities for the residents. Communication between the staff, myself and my sister is excellent, and we are counselled regularly regarding Mum's care. We cannot fault the care that my mum is receiving.

My wife who has Vascular Dementia went there for daycare and when I went to collect her she had food stains on her clothing and they informed me that they wouldn't be able to accept her again. It seems to me that it's a dementia care home but if you've got dementia they don't want to know.

My father has been a resident of Stoneyford Care Home since December 2018. All the staff have gone above and beyond their roles to assist him, and he has been treated as one of the family throughout his time there. We have never had any concern in respect of his care and treatment. When visiting my
father, family members have always been made welcome, offered drinks, biscuits and cakes as a matter of course.

My dad has settled into this home and is well cared for, which makes mine and my sister's lives much better also. Nearly all of the staff have been brilliant too. I just wish Dad could be encouraged to mix and join in with activities available to him.

Dad has been in Stonyfield since July 2021. He has settled in very well and is very well looked after, ie, food/cleanliness. Dad says it was the best move he made. All staff are very kind and friendly. Any issues are sorted very quickly.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.062)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.062) out of 10 for Stoneyford Care Home is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 7 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.3 out of 5 from 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.759 for Stoneyford Care Home is calculated as follows: ( (66 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) + (3 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 83 Ratings = 4.759

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.303 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Stoneyford Care Home is based on 7 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 + 0.1 = 3.7

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 58 registered maximum number of service users is 11.6. 7 Positive Reviews ÷ 11.6 = 0.603

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
