Woodleigh Care Home offers both long and short term care services to residents in an environment which is friendly and homely.

Staff provide round the clock care to residents and always have a fully qualified nurse on duty as well as trained care assistants.

The home has both single and companion rooms on offer for residents, which have been tastefully decorated and furnished throughout. Friends and family are welcome any time into the home and overnight accommodation can be provided for those on longer visits.

We cannot thank the Woodleigh team enough for the care, compassion and love shown to our mother. The team went above and beyond to make sure her stay with them was a positive, safe and comfortable experience as she was on palliative care. They kept us up to date every step of the way with regular communication
and nothing was too much trouble, especially at the end when we stayed at the home for several days. The team at Woodleigh are a real family and made us feel a part of that family. The manager's door was always open for us to chat and make sure we were okay too.
Thank you, team Woodleigh for making our mother's final few months a positive time in sad circumstances. You are an outstanding team of dedicated, caring, friendly and committed staff and should be very proud of yourselves.
She adored you all.
We would highly recommend Woodleigh Christian Care Home.

Cannot thank the Manager and her team enough. They really care for my mum and her well-being. She looks so happy since she’s been in there. She wasn’t herself at all before she went into Woodleigh but she is definitely Mum again. Thank you for looking after our mum.

My Grandad spent Christmas and New Year 2020 / 2021 for respite and his final few weeks, during the lockdown. He had a wonderful time and was made to feel like part of a family, when we weren't able to see him, due to restrictions. The staff were very caring and kept us up to date on Grandad's health
care and made time to let us speak to him via telephone. They cared about us as a whole family. I would highly recommend them.

My husband's aunt started with mental health issues in 2013 and after numerous stays in a facility, it was decided that she needed 24-hour Nursing Care. The search began for a suitable home in October 2017. We could not wish for anywhere better than Woodleigh. The home is just that, a home where the
residents are treated with the utmost respect, but as family. Nothing is too much trouble, there are always hugs and kisses for those that need them. Reassuring words and so much love and compassion for all. If you ask her anything about the home, she will tell you straight that we could not have chosen a better home for her. She will also tell you that the staff are marvellous. Due to the Covid lock down, the staff have managed to keep family connected and visits have been possible via the Pod. Our Aunt told us that if we couldn't get to see her 'we were not to worry as she was so well looked after by all the staff'.

From a palliative perspective, my mum overall had a terrible experience here. But unfortunately, I cannot elaborate as I have to be careful what I say due to the "censorship policy" so I won't go into detail. This place advertises as offering palliative care but we felt they were unable to offer adequate
palliative care. My mum couldn't wait to leave and we finally managed to get her into a hospice. Staff levels were so inadequate at evenings and weekends. Very poor levels of communication between staff. I had to buy my own mum a TV aerial which is shocking when they charge a grand a week and can't even provide a working TV. Some rooms had dirty walls and carpets. If I were to leave this on a good note, the food was good and two members of staff were particularly helpful. All in all, I would not recommend Woodleigh Care Home to anybody needing palliative care and this added more stress to an already stressful situation.

I have telephoned several times to see how my friend is and they say he is okay. I stated that l could no longer get through to him on his mobile, one said it was broken, one said he is out of credit so l said can you get him to phone me and they said he can get you on his iPad okay, they said they
will tell him. On all occasions, no reply and with Covid, l cannot visit as l am vulnerable myself in my eightieth year. The reason for me writing, I have just seen a picture of him at the home on Facebook and to me, he has gone downhill in such a short time. l am desperate to have a conversation with him. At this present time, l do not think this care home is very christian at all.

The care home is fabulous. The staff are extremely helpful and caring, I have no doubt that mum is in the best place possible especially this year with the Pandemic situation being so difficult for our elderly. The screened visiting room is brilliant so that we can see our mum and talk to her face to
face with a member of staff who is a real credit to this home. Heartfelt thank you.

My mother really struggled when she realised she was going into a care home. But I can only praise all the staff at Woodleigh in helping my mother to settle and always keeping me informed of how she is. My mother does want to come home, that is only natural but she is happy and well cared for. Nothing
is too much for the staff here, they care about their residents and are always polite and caring to us on visits or phone calls.

My mum got moved here from the hospital for end of life care back in March. Even though we couldn’t visit, we were able to keep in touch. And through their care, she improved a bit until her passing in September.
I and my brother can not thank the staff enough for their care.

My nana got moved to Woodleigh from another home due to needing beds because of Coronavirus. Today was the first time I got to see her since lockdown, and she seems so much healthier than when I last got the chance of seeing her! She’s put on weight and she seems genuinely happy which is something I’ve
not seen in the longest time, thank you for truly caring for her and I can trust that she is in safe hands! No matter how much of a pain I can guarantee she is! We all appreciate everything that you do every day to make her feel safe and loved.

The care home is like a home from home. Within a week all the staff knew me as well as my husband. Everyone was really friendly as well as doing their jobes - whether in the office, nursing, caring, cleaning, laundry etc. They always have time for the resident, family and friends.

My mum became a resident at Woodleigh in August 2015, aged 91, with progressing dementia and severe mobility problems. As a family, we felt, having reviewed several care homes, that her needs would be best met at Woodleigh. Settling in was a problem for her as she had been cared for 24/7 by her daughters
for 2 years. She did adjust, making friends. There have been many changes in both members of staff, and naturally with residents. At present, she is the oldest. At present, there are many, long-serving staff, and I feel the level of care is excellent. Mum is shown a lot of affection and treated with dignity.

Dad came to Woodleigh after a very bad experience with a different unconnected nursing home. From the moment he arrived we have been delighted with his care. The staff are so kind and patient, they genuinely care about the residents. As family members, we have been made to feel extremely welcome and
our input into Dad’s care needs has been welcomed.
There is a program of enrichment activities for all the residents to stimulate them. The food is very good. The manager and owner are always available for a chat or to explain anything we’ve been unsure about.
The thing that makes Woodleigh really special is that they care they offer us as family members, we really have been made to feel part of the “Woodleigh family”.

My mum has vascular dementia. She went to live at Woodleigh on 7th August 2019. Staff made my mum and our family very welcome. Mum has only been there a few days and I have seen a difference in her. The owner of the home also introduced himself to us and made us feel welcome. The manager is also very

Dad entered Woodleigh in July 2017 with acute vascular dementia.
Throughout his time at Woodleigh his care has been excellent.
The staff and management have always treated him with care and dignity and any concerns that we have raised with management have been dealt with swiftly.
Unfortunately Mum
is now also in Woodleigh. She has also been treated with the utmost respect.
