Cannot speak highly enough of this place. Very friendly caring staff, always there to help, very clean and well organised and very well managed. Always keeping you updated, there is nothing more comforting than knowing your loved ones are receiving the best care possible and so would like to thank all
the staff for their hard work and dedication. Thank you.

Just wanted to say a big Thank you to all the staff carers, cleaners, laundry, office workers for their care of our mum. She was a resident for 5 years at Melbourne and was very happy, she sadly passed away on 15th September but her care right to the end was impeccable and for that my sister and I would
like to say a big big thank you.

When I visited my dad during his respite, he always seemed content. He was unable to get out of bed, but there always seemed to be staff going up and down the corridor, some of which popped in to see him. All of the staff I met during my visits were very nice. They were all very fond of my dad. I was
told he was eating and drinking well and did see some evidence of this. I was also told his ongoing sores were improving and I did see signs of this. However, he did come out with new sores. All in all though, I did think this was a good service.

The staff know my mother really well, likes and dislikes. They are kind, caring and always willing to have a joke with her.
She loves the food and enjoys sitting in the music lounge.
There is regular entertainment, which all the residents seem to love.
There are always improvements to be made but
the manager is eager to address any issues and work with staff and relatives in the home.

I am very happy with the care that my mum receives at this care home, the staff are very friendly and understanding.
They do lots of activities to keep their minds active.
The home itself is kept very clean and tidy and they have a good selection of food.

Melbourne House is warm, welcoming and very friendly. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is always clean and tidy.
I'd definitely recommend this home to anyone friends and family.
My nan is settled and really happy and plenty of activities and trips out.
Lots of lovely meals.

Job Title: Care Home Manager

Joined: 2017

Alicja, a Registered Care Home manager, has 14 years of Intensive Care experience from her native Poland and is putting it to good use here at Melbourne House. She is welding her team together with her excellent ‘hands-on’ approach, enthusiasm and relationship skills, to develop the great reputation of Melbourne House.


Alicja loves being a nurse and despite the amount of administration that comes with the management role, she maintains her daily contact with residents and staff, to ensure she makes Melbourne House a Home, where all staff take responsibility, and improve service levels to offer high-quality care for the residents.
