Meadow Bank has recently employed a new manager and I must say since she has arrived things have vastly improved.
She has implemented her ideas and the staff seem much more content.
There is always a happy atmosphere in the home, plenty of activities and the care is second to none.
My Granddad
is nearly 93 and has been here over a year now and is very happy and well looked after.

My husband has been in the same care home for nearly 3years. I have seen quite a few changes in that time and I must say, for the better.
The staff are very good and nothing is too much trouble, I am certainly satisfied with the home, the management and the care workers.

This is a lovely home, the staff are brilliant and they can't do enough really for my mum. They have brought my mum out of herself, which is great. I have no complaints at all, very happy overall with the service provided.

My mother was in Meadow Bank, Bolton for a short time for end of life care. She passed away there on New Year's Day.
The care she received was excellent, the staff showed great compassion and dignity. The home was pleasant, clean, friendly and was a great comfort at such a difficult time. Myself and
my family would like to thank all at Meadow Bank and would recommend to anyone looking for care for a loved one.

Meadow Bank is a good care home with caring staff from carers, office staff, entertainment staff are superb rooms are lovely and clean. Clothes washed nicely. My mother is in late stages of dementia but is quite happy at Meadow Bank Care Home.

My mother was 3 years in this home until she died recently. She was well cared for and always enjoyed the food.. We did observe a decline from November 2015 to February 2016 where the manager left suddenly and also a lot of staff left but it settled down. The staff were very caring and attentive as
she faded away. One thing I feel prospective residents/relatives should be aware of is that the fees for a private payer are high compared to most other Bolton homes - we were paying £840 per week plus the home also received £110 from the NHS. My mums circumstances when she was admitted were that she was funded by the NHS so we were unaware of the fees until she no longer qualified for full NHS help. As she had settled by then there was no choice but to pay this amount, even when I pointed out the vast majority of other homes also rated good by CQC, charged much less-other homes charging £550 -£650 a week. So we were happy with the care which is key, but concerned at the cost which did not seem fair.

We note your comments about the fees. We do regularly review fees in the local area to ensure we are competitive, some homes do indeed charge less / week while others have similar or higher fees. At HC-One we do pride ourselves on high standards of care and provide levels of staffing that enable us to achieve this.

Had major issues with standard of care- meals and staff when mum became resident here. Since the new lady became manager she has turned things around for the better. Issues still arise but are dealt with immediately by the manager. All staff are very helpful from admin, to manager to nursing staff and
carers.

I personally have always found Meadow Bank care home to be clean and spotless. All the staff have been polite to speak to and nothing is too much trouble. Everyone in the home is treated with respect and kindness. All the staff deserve praise for all the hard work they do.

I have found the nursing home ideal for my mother. The staff are wonderful and go the extra mile to make her comfortable. The rooms are light, airy and clear. The whole place is warm and everyone appears happy.

What does kindness mean to you?

As a Registered Nurse, Jincy has gained many years of experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Jincy shares that HC-One’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her experience to motivate her team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Jincy remarked:


“Being able to provide a homely atmosphere for my Residents. Caring for other people makes me feel valued. And I also love being able to help Colleagues achieve their professional goals.”


Outside of work, Jincy enjoys spending time with her family, cooking and travelling. One of her biggest achievements was working as part of an operation theatre for a nurse's training project in India.
