Rose Court care home, conveniently situated within a residential area of Radcliffe in Manchester, offers a warm and welcoming environment where residents receive high quality residential, nursing and dementia care that is designed around their individual needs.

Led by a dedicated and kind home manager, who has a wealth of experience in the care sector, every member of the supportive team at Rose Court is committed to delivering the kindest care to residents, working hard to ensure their care needs are met whilst also making the home a happy place to live.

The catering team at Rose Court recognise the nutritional needs of older people and create delicious meals to ensure a lovely dining experience for all residents and visitors. The comfortable and welcoming dining areas provide the perfect space to enjoy meals with fellow residents or family and friends.

The professional care team commit time to getting to know residents, designing well-rounded care plans that meet both physical health needs as well as personal wellbeing. The activity programme supports those living in the home to enjoy the things they love most, including a variety of hobbies from baking to chess.

Rose Court is a purpose-built, welcoming home which has a range of comfortable and well-equipped bedrooms situated over three floors (Clarence, Windsor and Wilton) to ensure residents are proud to live there. The home has a beautiful garden with 'Tiki Bar' where residents can enjoy a cool refreshing beverage on those warm sunny days and there is also a popular 'Snug Room' where residents can kick back with a good book and enjoy a cosy and relaxed time.

The home is very well run and the staff are extremely dedicated to their work. Any problems were communicated and acted on. I am extremely grateful to all the staff who looked after my mum in the last thirteen months of her life. The home is well equipped and very friendly which helped us to know that
mum was in the best place. Even relatives of other residents were sociable. The rooms are well set out and residents can bring personal items in to make it feel like home. I cannot fault the care given to the residents.

Rose Court is a very well run care home. My husband seems to be happy there and he is well looked after. There are plenty of activities for the residents. All the staff are wonderful with the residents and their families.

Having looked at many care homes in the local area, I know how strong first impressions can affect decisions about care placements. Rose Court, at first, came across as modern, clean, professional and caring. I am glad to say that after a year of visiting my father, these impressions have not faded.


What

does not come across in care home assessments, is the relationship that develops with the carers allowing the character of the person to come out. I believe the people working at Rose Court do this through a pride in the delivery of professional care. They have also made what is a very difficult transition from home life to care home as acceptable as it can be.

My mum has moved into Rose Court and has settled in very well. The staff work very hard and they are showing kind care.
Management is excellent.
Food is good.
Plenty of activities to take part in. All the staff have been very kind to my mum. The home is very clean.
Great cafe area. Great gardens.
They have a lovely big multi media room. We have been invited to have meals with my mum. We are encouraged to still be a big part of my mum's well being, which is fantastic as my mother has 9 children. I have no concerns about my mum's well being now she is being looked after in Rose Court. You can see the staff work as a team.

My mother was admitted to Rose Court Radcliffe almost 4 years ago. From day one she (and us - her family) were welcomed with kindness and friendship. I know for a fact that although she was unwell, she had lots of happy times, because of the staff, who I cannot praise enough, treated her so well, with
kindness, care and affection. The whole set up and support that is given is amazing.

Mum was well looked after. Staff were fantastic. Plenty going on entertainment wise. Mum passed away in December 2016. The staff couldn't be more helpful and couldn't do enough for us during her final days, not only did they look after Mum they also took care of our family, bringing us food and drinks.
Would highly recommend Rose Court.

I have nothing but praise for the staff who have looked after my mother, who came into Rose Court in February. All of our family had concerns about mum being admitted into care but from the first day she has been treated with care, compassion and friendliness as have our family. Mum has been encouraged
to join in the many activities and outings. She enjoys the cooked meals and is generally looked after extremely well. I would highly recommend the home to anyone as a safe, secure and well run home.

I find the care at Rose Court to be consistently excellent. The staff are very friendly and really care for the residents. The place is clean and tidy and, unlike some other homes, the needs of the residents come first. Also, there are activities to keep people active such as days out and entertainers
coming in the house. The medical side is also good. Overall, can't be faulted.

We have been coming here for several years to bring Holy Communion consecrated at St. Thomas and St. John's Church monthly. We have always had a warm welcome. We have brought carols before Christmas and harvest service in October. Numbers vary between 4 and 7 for holy communion and a room full for Christmas
carols. The staff are always very helpful and explain the individual needs of those who attend.

I was most anxious as to what the future held when my partner moved into Rose Court. Any fears I had have been allayed to the point that I know she is in the best possible care. The manager and her staff are absolutely 1st class. My partner is always well dressed, clean and tidy. Excellent food and
a family feeling to the home. Rose Court is a care home in the true sense of the word care.

I visit a dear friend on and off for the last year. All the staff are doing a great and wonderful job caring with patience, kindness and understanding towards the residents. The home feels like a retirement home, it's a lovely feel to the place. I would recommend for friends and family to come to be
looked after here and to visit. Once again the staff are doing a wonderful job caring and for the community.

My mum has received the highest level of care possible. She is very settled and happy. The staff take such excellent care of her, her overall health and appearance have improved tremendously wherever possible.
It is evident that caring not just a job but a true vocation for all the staff. I genuinely
feel that visiting my mum now is like visiting her at home. All her relations are made so very welcome and we have an excellent relationship. I visited over 20 homes before choosing Rose Court and it truly is an excellent model of a residential care provision. A truly outstanding home.

Introducing Leanne Batten-Smith

What does kindness mean to you?


“Always trying your best each and every day; to fulfil the lives of others that you care for and work with. Working with a positive approach, and always treating others how you wish to be treated yourself.”


As a dedicated healthcare professional, Leanne has gained many years’ experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Leanne shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her experience to motivate her team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked why she chose to work in the care sector, Leanne remarked:


“I have always had a sense of caring and making peoples’ lives better in any way I can. This sector has taught me many skills, that I have been fortunate to share with others, to enrich the lives of people in a positive way and it makes me proud to bang the drum for social care each and every day.”


Leanne’s favourite thing about being a Home Manager is showing what can be achieved by a great team, with a great ethos and providing the kindest care to the people living within the home.


Leanne’s biggest achievement was her nomination for the National Care Awards and achieving Runner Up in the ‘Leader of the Year’ category, at the HC-One awards.


Outside of work, Leanne enjoys going for country walks with her family and two dogs.
