Rose Court care home, conveniently situated within a residential area of Radcliffe in Manchester, offers a warm and welcoming environment where residents receive high quality residential, nursing and dementia care that is designed around their individual needs.

Led by a dedicated and kind home manager, who has a wealth of experience in the care sector, every member of the supportive team at Rose Court is committed to delivering the kindest care to residents, working hard to ensure their care needs are met whilst also making the home a happy place to live.

The catering team at Rose Court recognise the nutritional needs of older people and create delicious meals to ensure a lovely dining experience for all residents and visitors. The comfortable and welcoming dining areas provide the perfect space to enjoy meals with fellow residents or family and friends.

The professional care team commit time to getting to know residents, designing well-rounded care plans that meet both physical health needs as well as personal wellbeing. The activity programme supports those living in the home to enjoy the things they love most, including a variety of hobbies from baking to chess.

Rose Court is a purpose-built, welcoming home which has a range of comfortable and well-equipped bedrooms situated over three floors (Clarence, Windsor and Wilton) to ensure residents are proud to live there. The home has a beautiful garden with 'Tiki Bar' where residents can enjoy a cool refreshing beverage on those warm sunny days and there is also a popular 'Snug Room' where residents can kick back with a good book and enjoy a cosy and relaxed time.

My father has been at Rose Court Care Home since July 2016. He has settled very well. The care home is everything you want for your parent. The care and overall standards are excellent. There are plenty of activities going on too. Food is very good and staff are very friendly and helpful. There are
rooms you can use anytime if you want some privacy. Would gladly recommend this place.

I am so happy my brother is living at Rose Court. The staff are so kind and caring. My brother feels so safe so I don't worry about him. He is so happy and I can't thank the staff enough.

My mum was admitted 3 weeks ago to Rose Court for end of life care with terminal cancer. The care received was absolutely excellent and she was treated dignity and respect. When any staff member was asked for assistance it was done immediately and without question. I would have no hesitation in recommending
Rose Court to anybody. On behalf of myself and family, I would like to say a huge thank you to all the staff.

My father was admitted to Rose Court on a recommendation from a district nurse in the Salford area.


He was treated with respect and dignity at all times and seemed quite happy. Unfortunately, he was quite poorly and wasn't able to join in with the activities on offer ie. Blackpool lights visit and

pub lunches.
I feel he was happy at Rose Court though his time there was short.

Rose Court Care Home has been a very caring environment for my mum for the last 4 years. The staff are always very pleasant, welcoming and caring to both residents and relatives. There are lots of activities going on to stimulate residents/make their stay bearable. Staff are always on hand to discuss
concerns and I feel they know my mum well and care always seeking to do their best for her.

I had to look for a nursing home for my mum who has vascular dementia as well as other physical health problems. We were devastated as a family but were determined to find the best place for her. Rose Court Care Home is just that! I knew as soon as I went in. The atmosphere was just lovely. The staff
are amazing, kind and caring. The environment is dementia friendly. Staff are interested in our opinion and listen to our views and concerns. I feel confident with the care my mum receives at Rose Court Care Home.

My mother was a resident from the beginning of May to the beginning of August 2016. During this time there were several issues that I had to make the staff aware of, the main one being that I noticed Mum felt that she was missing all or part of her meals. On many occasions, Mum's dessert did not arrive
and I had to ask for some for her. Mum would tell me that she hadn't had breakfast. I would ask one nurse who said that she had because he had given it to her. The following day the other nurse approached me to tell me that Mum had not been eating her breakfasts because staff couldn't wake her up! A litre of orange juice was given for her to drink during the day, and then orange cordial. My mother has chronic kidney failure and needs to drink plenty. Staff were told on several occasions that she did not like orange cordial if she was given orange she would not drink it. Senior staff would contradict each other constantly.

Mum's been in Rose Court for 14 months now, I'm taking her to another home as she will be nearer to all family and her friends. Rose Court has been fantastic with mum and us, they are so caring and lovely staff.
Me and my family will miss all of the staff and residents who we have made good friends
with, they feel as though they are a part of our family.

I couldn't honestly pick one person for the care award. I feel that every staff member needs recognition. They are all pleasant and friendly and make me feel at ease. All staff are easy to approach daily.

What does kindness mean to you?


“Always trying your best each and every day; to fulfil the lives of others that you care for and work with. Working with a positive approach, and always treating others how you wish to be treated yourself.”


As a dedicated healthcare professional, Leanne has gained many years’ experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Leanne shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her experience to motivate her team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked why she chose to work in the care sector, Leanne remarked:


“I have always had a sense of caring and making peoples’ lives better in any way I can. This sector has taught me many skills, that I have been fortunate to share with others, to enrich the lives of people in a positive way and it makes me proud to bang the drum for social care each and every day.”


Leanne’s favourite thing about being a Home Manager is showing what can be achieved by a great team, with a great ethos and providing the kindest care to the people living within the home.


Leanne’s biggest achievement was her nomination for the National Care Awards and achieving Runner Up in the ‘Leader of the Year’ category, at the HC-One awards.


Outside of work, Leanne enjoys going for country walks with her family and two dogs.
