Things were a little bumpy for the first few weeks but the Deputy Manager got involved and was so good at helping mum to settle and making sure that the food was right for her. In mums final week, the staff were amazing and looked after our whole family while we sat with her every night and day. Her
last days were peaceful and beautiful. Thank you.

The care and compassion shown, not only to my dad but to me also, has been outstanding.

Very friendly staff. The activities coordinator had such wide variety of tasks for the residents. Really got them engaged mentally and physically with daily tasks.
Also had modern equipment with touch screens for residents too. A very enlightening experience. Good engagement with the local community
taking on charity participants.

The staff at Nazareth House have been fantastic with my father-in-law, who struggled with his transition into a care home. The staff have been caring and understanding, giving him space to adjust, as well as going above and beyond looking after his legs. He is gaining more strength that is allowing

My mum transferred to Nazareth House from another care home a few weeks ago and the contrast between these is unbelievable. It has a welcoming, warm and friendly environment and all of the staff members are extremely caring for the residents. Her room is very well presented with en-suite facilities.
The
food served is excellent and varied, causing my mum's appetite to return. There are plenty of activities for the residents and the surroundings, inside and out, are fantastic. Although she's only been there for a few weeks, there's been a significant improvement in her overall well-being.
I can thoroughly recommend Nazareth House for anybody looking for first-class care for a loved one. Thank you so much and continue the excellent work.

When l visit Nazareth House with my husband l am always impressed with the reception we get and the overall hospitality of the home. Very well-managed, friendly staff who care greatly for the residents. Since the new management have taken over the atmosphere is happy and welcoming. My mother has found it very hard at times but all the staff have supported Mum throughout her stay and especially caring for her and my father during
his illness and whilst he was on end of life. The dignity and compassion during the hardest times were very much appreciated. The management has worked hard to create a home where Mum feels like the staff and residents are like family.

My mum is cared for really well. Since Covid, we have got to know the carers better, which helps with my mum's care. They know her likes and dislikes. Her health is checked regularly as well.

Since the arrival of the interim manager, the entire home is a far better home for residents and staff where the staff are appreciated and valued. If and when staff do extra ie: work half a day on their day off it is noted and given their time back.

The carers themselves were kind and thoughtful, but far too few. My friend was left, often, as the staff had no time. She is blind and unable to walk, therefore totally dependent for toileting etc. Meals were poor - her diet was often egg and chips as she had food allergies not catered for. Her clothes,
though marked with her name, often went missing. Reception is never staffed at weekends. The manager and deputy are not there or reachable at weekends. Often agency staff with no knowledge of residents' needs or medications needed. Infrequent showers/baths due to lack of staff. All management responsibility - causing low staff morale.

Now on 3rd management change in 21 months. No correspondence regarding changes which I would have expected as a service user relative paying for the full cost of care on behalf of the resident. High staff turnover apparent, linked to changes in the environment with agency staff. This appears to have
settled recently with a few more familiar faces, albeit that this must be unsettling for residents.
Care staff team and ward manager thankfully provide some continuity for my father, albeit that nursing residents appear to have less access to activities beyond mass due to care needs so a lot of time spent in bed which is not good for the emotional well-being of patients who have 1, if any other visitors weekly.
Communication needs improving.

We are immensely grateful for your kindness/every kindness shown to our mum. We have struggled with aspects of care and hope you understand - we would have loved our mum to receive a daily soak in the bath. We would have loved her to be taken out on sunny days. We are not asked how we feel. We worry
that she will run out of money and you will move her out. Mum has paid 100% for 5-6 years and her money is going fast! All her house money has gone. She lived a frugal, simple life. She volunteered here for 20 years. My sisters worry terribly about this.

My father went to live at Nazareth House in October 2018 as he could no longer look after himself and had terminal lung cancer. The care he was given was second to none and I cannot praise all the staff from the matron, nurses, cooks, cleaners and the handyman enough for everything they did for him.
He had and was given anything he needed, no matter what time of day or night. Nazareth House is for any religion, just in case anyone would think it otherwise.
I would not hesitate to recommend Nazareth House to anyone wishing their loved one to be cared for.
