Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. At Ringway Mews, we aim to provide the highest standards of care. Prior to all admissions, we undertake a thorough assessment of all potential residents’ individual care needs to enable us to make an informed decision of whether we can meet the person’s care needs. Many residents living with dementia spend time in their rooms through either choice or frailty. We also abide by the principle of ‘a room as your home’ asking families to help us personalise residents’ bedrooms by bringing in possessions and mementoes that will encourage their loved ones to feel safe and secure, which gives them a sense of reassurance that they belong. Residents living with dementia can be disoriented, so they walk, search and inadvertently walk into rooms. With diminished awareness and reasoning this can result in them entering other residents rooms and can cause distress when they disturb a resident’s privacy. We are very sorry for any upset this brought about; our resident's safety is of paramount importance to us.
We have a variety of meals available, there are always two choices and alternatives can be offered. We continually look to improving the presentation of texture modified diet and seek feedback daily from residents. I am sorry that you feel the staff at the home were unable to meet your Father’s care needs during his stay. Prior to all admissions, we undertake a thorough assessment of all potential residents’ individual care needs, which will enable us to make an informed decision if we can meet the person’s care needs. Occasionally, detailed information about an individual’s care needs is omitted or not shared during the assessment. Following any decision made, we try to involve a multi-disciplinary team approach so a full review of care needs can be made. After a period of time and following a re-assessment, it was decided that Ringway Mews was unable to meet your Father’s needs as he required specialist care which we were unable to offer at the home. Our Wellbeing Coordinator on Lancaster House has a full activity programme and we also offer activities at the sister homes which Residents can access at any time if they prefer to join in on a variety of group, art and craft, reminiscence, baking and board game activities. It is up to individual resident discretion whether they choose to join in the activities or not.

I have been here at Ringway Mews for close to 12 years, supporting many residents over this time.
I have a lovely daughter who has a fierce love for life.
I enjoy travelling the world with my nearest and dearest.
Heather joined Ringway Mews as Home Manager because she shares Springcare’s vision of aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every resident. She extends this caring approach to her colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home

I'm a Mum to a little boy, who I love trying new things alongside.
I've worked in Ringway Mews for nearly 6 years now, originally starting as a care assistant, working my way through to nursing assistant then to Care Manager for Ringway Mews.
I work here because I love being able to provide the support and care any resident needs and also learning on the job all the time, I love being the relationship maintainer between families and us at Ringway as every family has a different experience with the social care system and I enjoy being able to discuss and support.
