My mother has been in Langfield for 3 years in all that time she has never had a bed sore, even though she is either in a wheelchair, armchair or bed. My mother is nearly 96 and has never been a wanting person and is quite happy to sleep quite a lot, so I don't know whether the activities are for everyone
but they do seem to have a good selection of them for those who want them. All the staff are very caring and listen if you do not have a slight grievance which is not very often.
The home is very clean and graded 5, my mother is always well dressed and clean, she never smells even though she is doubly incontinent. The food is not fancy, but wholesome and mostly homemade. Her room is spacious with a toilet and sink (en-suite) I would definitely recommend Langfield.

My mother has been a resident of Langfield Care Home for approx. 2 years. I can honestly say that the staff are lovely. Just one big happy family and always made to feel welcome. My mom had to be admitted to Langfield Care Home due to having quite a few falls. I feel my mom gets treated really well
and feel a lot happier knowing that she is being looked after. She gets along with all the staff as do we. But she feels they need to get more permanent staff on nights so they can feel more at ease with them like she does with the day staff.


Although my mom doesn't eat much of the food or get involved in many of the activities from what I see when visiting, they both look really good. I would not hesitate to recommend this care home.

My husband has been in Langfield almost a year. It has been a very difficult time for us both but the staff have tried to make things as comfortable as possible. The home is bright and welcoming especially the dining/lounge room. The food seems wholesome, looks appetizing and is plentiful. The staff
are approachable and any queries or concerns are listened to and usually addressed quickly.


Social events are well organised and the staff do their utmost to make sure these events are enjoyable without pressurising residents to join in if they prefer not to. It would be good to have more regular input from "outsiders" willing to lead exercise or singing sessions to stimulate residents.

Brilliant care home. Staff amazing the take care of every need. Would not let my father go anywhere else. I cannot recommend Langfield Care Home enough.
Amazing place clean and every staff member is like an additional part of my dad's family.

My nana received palliative care in langfield, the way she was looked after in their was fantastic. The staff are absolutely wonderful and love and respect every single resident, I know this because myself, my mum and sister spent lots of time here in my Nanna's end of life. My nana was very happy here
and was welcomed with open arms by the team of angels that looked after her. The entertainment team are brilliant also, putting on events for residents and how they engage with them to ensure they enjoy themselves. The food is freshly prepared and my nana really enjoyed her meals. We would definitely recommend this home to anyone. Definitely the best home in Middleton. Keep up the good work.

My sister is quite happy at Langfield she is only 56 but has health care needs. She is treated with dignity and respect, also with understanding as she is only young. I see the other residents treated with care and respect. My only issues are that some nights they are short staffed and have to wait
for agency staff to arrive so people cannot be taken to bed or toilet at their request.
