We understand how difficult it can be when a loved one moves into a care home, and we sometimes will ask the family to support us if we feel this will benefit the resident. We apologise you felt the care staff relied on your support and that the care setting was not 'home'. We have shared this with the team as we constantly seek to improve the service we provide. Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required and we can learn from this. We are pleased you feel our home colleagues do a good job; we will share your positive comments with them. We encourage raising any concerns to the Home Manager in the first instance and would be happy to facilitate a meeting to this end if you think this will be of benefit. Some of our residents choose or need to remain in their rooms for various reasons and we will always promote independence and choice for our Pendleton Court residents. Staff do encourage people to join in communal areas to maximise quality of life and reduce isolation and this is monitored regularly including weekend visits by the Home Manager.

We are delighted you think Pendleton Court is a good care home; this will be shared with the staff team who work hard to provide kind, quality care. We encourage in the first instance reaching out to the home manager if you have any concerns; we would be happy to facilitate a meeting if you feel this would be beneficial. Food is prepared to the correct temperature and is also checked during the serving process. Your comments have been shared with the team so they can make certain your mother's food is as it should be. The team will endeavour to answer the door in as timely a manner as possible though on occasion a longer wait may be experienced due to the demands of the business.

Introducing Anoj Kochera
Home Manager at Pendleton Court, Salford
What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?
“Kindness should come naturally as we all must have kindness in our hearts to work in health and social care. Kindness is also ensuring that everyone is treated as human beings, with dignity and respect.”
As a Registered Nurse, Anoj has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. He is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.
Having chosen to work in the care sector to bring a positive change in people’s lives, Anoj closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. He extends this caring approach to his colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.
When asked what he enjoys most about his role, Anoj remarked:
“Managing all aspects of the day-to-day running of the care home to ensure people who live and work there are happy, and that high-quality care is provided to all.”
Anoj has also achieved much outside of work, with his proudest achievement being helping to run a retirement home in India, providing them with financial support and advice.
Outside of work, Anoj enjoys spending time with his family, travelling and football.
