Thank you for your review, we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. Our menus are devised so that we can adapt to most special dietary requirements whilst providing options for individual tastes and preferences. Each day our menus provide options, but should a resident not wish to eat what is on the set menu then we do offer a variety of alternatives. The level 4 diet is adapted from our HC-One daily menu. We are sorry if you find your loved one's food to be bland and tasteless and would be more than happy to discuss this with other people who live in the home to capture more views on texture-modified food. Condiments are available with meals too, so people can season them to their personal taste. We will liaise with our kitchen team to ensure improvements are made.

Introducing Melissa Johnson
Home Manager at Newlands, Stockport

As a dedicated healthcare professional, Melissa has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives.
She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards of care and quality of life for Residents.
Melissa closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.
When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Melissa remarked: “I love to see the people we care for happy, and knowing that the team look forward to coming to work.”
Melissa has also achieved much outside of work, with her proudest achievement being having her two children. She wants to show them a good example of being in a job she loves, whilst being the best mum she can be.
Outside of work, Melissa enjoys going out for walks with her dog and her children. She also loves music and believes it is good for the soul.
