Guide Lane care home, ideally situated in the peaceful residential area of Audenshaw, just outside of Manchester, provides personalised residential and nursing care to older people.

The welcoming and purpose-built home has a beautiful tranquil garden, which is a popular place for residents to relax and watch the world go by. There is also a hair salon and minibus for trips out.

Guide Lane also boasts a selection of specially designed dining areas that provide the perfect space to share meals with fellow residents, or family and friends. The catering team prides itself on ensuring that each meal is an enjoyable and heart-warming experience for every resident and visitor to the home.

The professional care team at Guide Lane take the time to learn about each resident’s individual hobbies and interests, supporting residents to lead an active and fulfilling life. In addition to the range of activities available, they also encourage residents to take an active role in the Audenshaw community, from building relationships with neighbours in local community groups and schools, to arranging sightseeing trips in the local area.

My mother lived at Guide Lane Care Home for approximately four years until her death in May this year.


During this time Mum was cared for in a compassionate, friendly and professional manner and our family and friends who visited her as often as possible were always impressed with the caring yet

relaxed atmosphere of the home and we were always pleased to see Mum looking happy, tidy and well-dressed.


Sadly, Mum died in May, aged 95, but thankfully passed away in her own room in comfort and with great dignity.


We cannot thank all the staff enough for their kindness and patience and for the way they looked after Mum with a ready smile and cared for her in friendship as as well as professionalism.
