Disgusting. My grandad has been there for a few months now and he's had a number of times lost his teeth because the staff either take them or don't seem to know where they put them which means my grandad can't eat! and now he has fallen twice and been back in the hospital because of this! My grandad
needs 24-hour care, not pop in every few hours. It takes them 3 hours to make him a brew for goodness sake it is not on and I'm fuming we trust someone to look after our family member and this is how they get treated!

Thank you for your review; we value all feedback as this helps us to improve our service where required. Your grandfather has capacity and will remove the teeth himself, and this does not prevent him from eating. Your grandfather's hospital admission was not related to any fall. Your grandfather is on hourly checks by staff, he is not funded for 1-1 care. We are awaiting a second dentist visit, as the last time the dentist visited the home to review your grandfather, he refused to be seen by a dentist. Both sons are fully involved in the care of your grandfather and updated regularly by the home and GP. Should you wish to discuss this further please do not hesitate to contact us.

Mum needed 24 hour care after being diagnosed with Brain Cancer in December 2021. We chose Stamford Court from CQC reports and personal recommendations. Everything was as we hoped and expected. The care was good and the staff were excellent, always showing empathy while getting on with the job. Mum
enjoyed the food and was happy with the staff around her, whilst her communication was limited and she was sometimes confused she was not anxious or upset and we were comfortable with the difficult choice we had to make and confident she was getting good care. This was her home for the last 4 months of her 92 years and the management and staff were supportive, caring and helpful to us. We were able to visit daily within Covid rules and had unlimited time with her at the end. We would make the same choice again. Thank you.

Mum was a resident in Stamford Court for just over 3-months before she sadly passed away. My mum was well cared for, and the staff treated myself and my family with empathy and dignity. The bond my mum made with all the staff in such a short time was heartwarming to see.

My dad needed a nursing home facility after leaving the hospital. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, we were unable to visit care homes to ensure they lived up to our expectations. I used CQC online as a guide, and Stamford Court had good reviews. Dad was only in the home for 10-days before he passed away.
I would recommend Stamford Court to anyone in our position. The staff are caring, considerate and have such empathy, which helped us during this difficult time.

The staff were lovely to me and my brother; they sat with Mum when we were not there, and let us come to visit anytime when Mum was in her last days. Mum was happy at Stamford Court and had made friends.

My mum was admitted to Stamford Court Care in July 2020 shortly after she left the hospital where she had just been diagnosed with a terminal brain tumour. In summary, the home provided outstanding care and support to Mum until she sadly passed away in October. In the 4 months mum was in the home, she
would constantly tell me about the wonderful food, accommodation but most importantly, the warmth and care from all the staff who looked after her physical and mental well being. Because of COVID, it was only at the end that I was able to go inside the home and really get to know the people Mum had been talking about and I could totally understand why Mum was so complimentary and appreciative of the home we had decided to choose for her final days. As a concerned relative, the staff continually kept me appraised of Mum's condition and nothing was too much trouble. All the staff and the manager, are a credit to HTC and I would strongly recommend Stamford Court. Thank You all.

February - March was the last time I visited my husband indoors. My husband has been in Stamford Court for over 10 years now and to be honest it speaks for itself that he is still there. I have hardly had any complaints and the one or two I dd have when he first went in were very minor ones that were
discussed and quickly sorted. The staff are brilliant and friendly and have become more like friends over the years. My husband is always clean and well cared for and I can honestly say it's a pleasure to visit. I visit most days.

In the 2 months my Grannie was here the staff have been absolutely brilliant,
My Grannie made a special bond with the staff and for what little time she had left the staff made sure she was comfortable and that she wasn’t alone.
Another good thing is that you can turn up any day and at any time.
I
would like to thank all staff for looking after my Grannie.
My Grannie's words after a day of being there were, “I wasn’t convinced that I would like it here, but the staff are lovely and the rooms are comfortable”.
They have an amazing dinner choice it always looked that good I wanted to be a resident myself. My Grannie was here for 2 months, when she died the staff were brilliant, they gave me a shoulder to cry on.
They did their best to help us with arrangements and made us feel comfortable.
You hear about nursing homes and the stories but this definitely isn’t one of them I can assure you.
My Grannie said to me a few days before she died, “Thank you for finding me this home”.

Mum stayed in Stamford Court for just over two weeks whilst we travelled abroad for a family holiday. She lives alone and is not very mobile so we could not leave her on her own.
The care and attention she received from all of the staff was excellent and we returned from holiday to find her looking
and feeling the best she has for quite some time. On leaving, she received hugs and kisses from most of the staff and she said that she felt like she was leaving her friends behind. Thank you Stamford Court.

My dad was looked after and treated with great care and dignity in this very difficult time. Nothing was too much to ask for, room, food, rest lounges all very good. Dad was helped and encouraged to mix and when needed was left to have privacy, visits were open. Any questions were positively answered.
All his medical needs and timings were planned and precise. I'm so glad I found Stamford Court to deal with a sad situation. Thank you to all the staff.

Mum came to Stamford Court "end of life" but she is now getting up, getting dressed, having her hair done, eating in the lounge. The care and attention given by staff is second to none.
We have seen a big improvement in her well being since being at Stamford Court and because we live over 3 hours away,
we have peace of mind she is being cared for.

Introducing Sue Jackson
Home Manager at Stamford Court, Stalybridge


What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“Ensuring that all Residents are treated with dignity and respect and that their needs are met. Making Stamford Court their home and involving them in the day to day routine of the home.”


As a Registered Nurse for over 30 years, Sue has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Having worked at Stamford Court since 2019, Sue closely shares HC-One’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Stamford Court, Sue said:


“I live locally and have other family members that live in the area. I also help out at the local Brownie group which gives me links to the local church and schools, so we can be at the heart of our local community.”


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Sue remarked:


“Working as a team, chatting to Residents and getting to hear their stories.”


Outside of work, Sue likes to travel and enjoys spending time with her beautiful grandchildren.
