Lady of the Vale Nursing Home is located in Bowdon Vale, Altrincham and provides nursing care and support for up to 38 residents. The home itself was built in the early 1930’s. The continuous investment and refurbishment programmes have introduced modern care facilities whilst maintaining the heritage and character of the home. The home also has a beautiful chapel on site where mass is held daily.

The home offers quality long-term and respite care for people with nursing needs and palliative care which is delivered by a highly skilled team of nurses and care assistants who provide support 24-hours a day.

There are beautiful, well maintained gardens which residents and visitors can make the most of at their leisure. Most bedrooms have a lovely view of the gardens. Residents are encouraged to bring small items to personalise their bedrooms.

The home aims to provide the highest standard of person-centred care for their residents and respect every person as a unique individual and promote choice and dignity in everything they do. The involvement of residents’ families is actively sought and encouraged.

Their compassionate care and holistic approach places values on health, well-being and spirituality, making Lady of the Vale a special place to be. I cannot speak highly enough of the manager and his team, as they really do 'care' , my mum was in another care facility prior and the difference at LOV was unbelievable.
The team never stop, their patience, care and understanding is incredible really , they treat their patients with respect and offer
their families the upmost support.
I am incredibly grateful we found LOV as they truly cared for my mum , a proud and elegant lady , they maintained her dignity as dementia took over, and I cannot thank them enough.

I had a very positive visit to see my mother. She is very happy and content and getting to know the staff. The Lady of the Vale residential home offers many opportunities and facilities to the residents. The staff are most helpful and welcoming and most sympathetic to my mother's needs.
My mother
does need to be encouraged to go to the dayroom each day, if possible, and to socialise with other residents.
A pleasure to come to the clean and well appointed Lady of the Vale residential home.

All the members of staff including cleaners and cooks are very pleasant, always on hand if you want anything, they ask if you would like a drink, cake or biscuits when they come round. very helpful and will go out of their way to help you. I always thoroughly enjoy my visits when I go.

My Mum was in the home for 6 weeks before she sadly passed away. She was not well during that time however did say the staff was all nice and the room was comfortable/ I always found the staff fairly friendly and professional. Mum's room was clean with everything she needed. A big thanks to all.

The staff are lovely, warm, friendly and very caring. The home is light, bright and spotlessly clean. We looked at many homes for Mum before we chose Lady of The Vale, this was by far the best! There are activities for her to take part in, she can attend Mass and her visitors can too. She has settled
well and is well cared for.

I have visited a few times & it always seems peaceful and clean as well my cousin seems to be very comfortable & happy. The carers also seem very nice & friendly and supportive to visitors and of course to the patients which is important.

After over 9 months of numerous hospitals and care homes we had only seen the worst of adult social care until that is a recent end-of-life discharge to The Lady of the Vale.
The staff are courteous and attentive and caring to both residents and families, the home is well maintained and clean and the
food is lovely.
Sadly for us there’s not much time left to see our relative enjoy the end of her life here.
We would highly recommend The Lady of the Vale to anyone looking for peace of mind their loved ones will be looked after properly.
Well done to the whole team your work is valued and appreciated greatly.

Mum came to Lady of the Vale to be assessed over a three-week period and it was immediately apparent that the management and staff were professional, caring and compassionate. I was so happy and relieved that following the assessment, the manager managed to provide a permanent home and room for Mum.
The carers, manager, nurses, chefs, cleaning and gardening staff are wonderfully pleasant, efficient and caring and manage to go about their busy everyday duties with a smile and sense of humour. Approachable, organised and motivated. I would like to thank and praise every individual at the home for making Mum feel like the Lady of the Vale is her family.

My brother was in a lovely room, looking out onto the trees and garden. The nurses and staff looked after him very kindly with much patience and gentleness. The home has a family feel, and everyone is at ease with one another. The home is nicely furnished and very clean. The food is well prepared and

My ex-husband was treated wonderfully during his time at Lady of the Vale Nursing Home. All his visitors were welcomed and treated brilliantly. The standards at this home are simply excellent. The staff were so caring so helpful and so accommodating. The whole building was so clean we had peace of mind
whilst he was at this nursery home, they couldn't do enough for him. If I become so ill I would like to spend my last days at Lady of the Vale.

My dad transferred from hospital to Lady of the Vale and spent the last week of his earthly life there. He was made comfortable, he was checked on regularly, his pain and discomfort was managed with great skill and care. The staff also took time to look after us and make sure we were happy with the
care being provided and to offer tea, coffee, biscuits and other types of food. Nothing was too much for them. I will be forever grateful that my dad was looked after here - I could not ask for more.

The service provided by the manager and his whole team is amazing. The overall atmosphere is serene, comforting and relaxed, with nothing too much for the staff to respond to with a smile and a pleasantry. My wife has been in their care since July, and I have reserved my time before commenting, and
I cannot fault anything. The level of care from all staff members has to be experienced, and I find visiting a pleasant experience in rather sad circumstances as everyone is so welcoming on my twice daily visits. Absolutely no hesitation in recommending.

Since the new manager has taken over at Bowdon Vale there have been various changes. The manager is very approachable and always welcoming. Any questions raised are answered fully and explanations are detailed. There is a new activities coordinator who seems very keen to include as many residents as
possible. The 'Dog Appreciation Day' yesterday was really well received by the residents, relatives and staff. The staff, both new and longstanding are wonderful, and caring and always treat residents with dignity.

I have managed many homes but Lady of the Vale is special. It has a very calming atmosphere. It’s an old building with lots of character and lovely grounds; with a lot of staff who have worked here a long time and so are full of stories from the past. We work together as a team to provide the best care possible, we support one another in sad times but also have lots of laughs. We are a family.
