Rosebridge Court care home, situated just three miles from the centre of Wigan in the small town of Hindley, is a lovely setting with a real family feel.

The home is purpose-built and designed to be welcoming for both residents and their loved ones. Boasting a beautiful enclosed garden and sensory area, as well as a cinema, café, hobby room and a hair salon, there is always something to get involved with at Rosebridge Court. For residents who like to venture out, the home's minibus provides the opportunity to get out and about in the local area.

Providing nursing dementia care, the care team go above and beyond to give residents, and their loved ones, the peace of mind that everything is taken care of. The personalised care plans are designed around the individual requirements of each person, including personal preferences and the opinions of friends and family wherever appropriate.

With a number of carefully designed dining areas, residents can enjoy meals prepared by the creative catering team, who work hard to ensure dining experiences are enjoyable for every resident, whether dining alone, with fellow residents or welcoming loved ones for a visit.

My Mum moved here briefly and received excellent care and support from all the staff. Every member of staff was always polite and helpful. They treated Mum with the utmost respect and dignity.

My Aunty was discharged to Rosebridge court after falling and breaking her hip. Aunty was very confused and she kept shouting. Since being at Rosebridge Court, she has calmed down and is very happy. The staff have made her feel secure. They can not do enough for my aunty in all aspects of her daily
routine.

Home manager and every member of her staff have all gone beyond their call of duty to make my mothers transition from hospital as easy as possible. Our family's lives have been transformed, we now have peace of mind that my mother is being treated with care, compassion, love, laughter and dignity. There
is no strict regime and my mother can eat, sleep or sit in the lounge for entertainment when she decides to do so. Medication and regular checks are always on time. Mother is clean and well cared for. Hygiene is paramount and all staff make time in their busy lives to interact with residents and visitors, always with a smile. All domestic, carers and nursing staff are special.

When I visit my mum all the staff are very friendly it shows how well she is looked after as she has been in Rosebridge Court for 4 years. All of the family can see how well she is being looked after and would recommend here to anyone.

My mother has been a resident for 12 months and appears settled and content. The staff are friendly and welcoming both to visitors and residents. They treat my mother with dignity and respect, always updating me on her disposition and well being. She is well fed, clean and cared for.

My husband went into Rosebridge Court in December 2015. I am very pleased with the cleanliness, food, activities but most of all the carers. Nothing is too much trouble for them. I visit nearly every day and as yet have no complaints. The management are helpful and will answer all questions. This is
the first care home that I have had contact with and I am so grateful to the carers who treat my husband with respect and dignity.

Home Manager at Rosebridge Court, Wigan


What does ‘kindness’ mean to you?


“I believe that kind care is ensuring the needs of those we support, are put first and ensuring they are as happy as they can be.”


As a Registered Nurse, Cheryl has gained a wealth of experience in providing care and nursing support to elderly people, to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable leader who is passionate about delivering the highest standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Cheryl closely shares HC-One’s vision in aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She extends this caring approach to her Colleagues and works closely with them to deliver care and support to Residents in a way that they gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


She also works hard to arrange events and activities with nearby schools and clubs and is always keen to include the local community in life at Rosebridge Court.


When asked what she enjoys most about her role, Cheryl remarked: “the best part about my job is seeing the Residents smile. It is such a privileged feeling to see them happy.”


Outside of work, Cheryl enjoys an actively social lifestyle by camping with friends and family, regularly visiting the Lake District. She also enjoys relaxing activities such as yoga.
