At Hillside, the experienced and highly qualified team has fostered a warm and friendly environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect. They prioritise promoting residents' independence and enhancing their quality of life.

I cannot give any negative feedback with regard to my experience at Hillside Care Home. This applies to day of administration through to day of discharge. The level of care received was impeccable. On arrival I was very anxious and depressed but the care and compassion I was treated with quickly put
me at ease. Which in turn gave me the confidence to do what was needed to help with my rehab.

I visited my relative on 14th of January 2025; I was shocked at the fact that the room wreaked of urine. My relative had a thin sheet covering his face, he was cold, deeply depressed, lonely, felt humiliated by comments made by certain members of staff, the smart tv was impossible to access as he has
severe sight loss. The room is bland and very gloomy, no visual or sensory stimulation. Social care is very limited. Physiotherapy? Occupational therapy? I saw no evidence.

Hillside Care Home staff are amazing, they have continuously provided a high level of care for my mum and allow her to have dignity despite her condition. We know our mum is safe and feels secure. All members of staff are always approachable and have made the time to get to know my mum which means a

I have received great care and support in the home. All the staff have been amazing. The room has been kept clean. The food has been very nice and plentiful!
The physio team are fantastic and I have exceeded expectations during my stay.

My mum has been here for about three and a half years. We have always thought that this home is excellent and have recommended it to several people we know. Mum is content, well fed and her room is always clean and tidy. All the staff work extremely hard, my dad and I spend a lot of time with Mum, and
they never stop. the home smells nice and all the staff are very friendly.

My wife has been in Hillside for three and a half years. I find the home to be warm, clean and comfortable. The staff are friendly and welcoming, always willing to help, they take the time to listen to any concerns I may have, and act upon them.

What an abhorrent place for the elderly. This place lacks compassion, empathy, dignity, and respect, and as for the staff, sheer lack of professionalism. The manager is just as bad, she refuses to acknowledge any complaints. I was wondering where the staff get their training from as their moving and
handling skills are all atrocious. A la carte menu, chips egg and beans or they change to sausage, sausage roll or pie, chips and beans. These are elderly people, not children. The rooms are a disgrace, dirty, outdated, paint peeling off the woodwork, marks all over the walls. As for care, well there is none. My mother has had 2 showers and a bath in 12 weeks, the rest of the time it's a wash. Her hair never gets brushed by staff, they use nighttime catheter bags during the day so they don't have to keep emptying it. I could say more but I will finish with this place needs closing down for good.

We are aware of improvements to the environment that are needed, and our dedicated maintenance operatives are working hard to refurb areas of the home. It is, however, always very disappointing when a relationship with a family breaks down. I do hope your Mum will be happy in her new surroundings.

My mother has been in Hillside for a couple of years now she seems happy enough. When we visit and her bedding is always clean.
My mother too always looks clean and well cared for and happy with the staff. They are always friendly and caring.
After being moved from a variety of homes due to closures
my mother seems happy and contented.

My dad has been here for a couple of months and will be living here permanently. Every time I visit, he is clean and well-fed, he has put weight on since being there. All the staff are lovely and caring. No smell of wee and rooms are always clean. They always have little snacks.

My stepmother recently came to Hillside Care Home for respite but will now be staying. On entering we were greeted by a member of staff who had a smile on her face and was very polite, helpful and courteous.
Since my stepmother has been a resident she is taking her medication regularly, eating and
drinking.
her personal hygiene is so much better.
The staff have been amazing, always professional but friendly, they will share a laugh with my stepmother while looking after her and meeting her needs.
The rooms are clean and well maintained. There is a variety of food with particular likes and dislikes taken into consideration.
Clothes are freshly laundered and all the residents are dressed well.
Thank you Hillside staff you are all wonderful and have made the decision of my stepmother's care so easy.

My grandad has been at Hillside Care Home for around a year now. From day one, the carers, nurses, cleaners and every other member of staff have been amazing.
The building is always clean and tidy. The cleaners and caretakers do a great job with the upkeep.
The care he receives has been fantastic
and the whole family can relax knowing he is in good hands. Every time we go in he is clean, well fed and had all his medications. Best of all, he is always happy and laughing.
The carers and nurses have always communicated with us how he has been and if there are any issues we need to be aware of.
The staff are incredibly friendly and always willing to help out where and when needed even going above and beyond their job description.
