Welcome to Kingswood Manor Care Home, a historic Grade 2 listed building built in 1839 and a well-known local landmark, with a beautiful sweeping staircase, painted ceilings and original cornices.

Care within the home is led by an experienced and dedicated team of nursing staff and carers. This well trained team ensures that residents are cared for in a ‘person-centred’ way which ensures that residents' needs and wishes are understood and recorded.

This bespoke approach to resident care ensures high levels of resident satisfaction and excellent quality of care quality. Kingswood Manor Care Home is recognised in the local areas as the nursing home which delivers a standard of end of life which is ‘way and above’ other nursing environments. The excellent standard of nursing care is well known among local clinical professionals.

Special mention must be made of the ‘Community Partnership Award ‘given by Educate 2016 to Kingswood Manor Care Home and Springwood Heath Primary School for their collaboration project which still continues today. Children from the school come to read to residents and also come and talk, sing and spend time getting to know each other. Residents absolutely ‘love’ these weekly visits and both generations really make the most of their time together.

As you would expect, the home has a dedicated catering team to ensure that the menu consists of home cooked nutritious meals.

My mum was a resident at Kingswood Manor Nursing Home for 4 months following an accident at home. She went from the hospital to the nursing home, as we were told by medical staff she would never walk again so could not go home. Thanks to the hard work and support of staff at Kingswood Manor Nursing
Home, she is now home. Everyone at the home is so kind and caring. Nothing is ever too much trouble for them. Without the staff at Kingswood Manor Nursing Home, we would be in a very different situation now. We will be forever grateful to them for their support and would not hesitate to recommend the home for the care needed.

The nursing home is marvellous and the nurses and carers are all friendly and lovely. They always make me a nice cup of coffee when I visit my mum.

My late and dearly missed dad spent the last two weeks of his life here, he was treated with the utmost respect, always kept clean and tidy, as was his room. Due to me having a stroke in December we had to find a good nursing home for my husband. My daughter visited several homes before settling on Kingswood Manor and we have been pleasantly surprised at the standards we have received, keep up the good work.

I brought my Nan from Manchester to Liverpool at the age of 100. I put her in 'Kingswood Manor Nursing Home' Liverpool, and I could not have asked for more care, love and attention that my Nan received at the home.I would recommend any other family or friends to place their relative into Kingswood

My mother was at Kingswood Manor from April 19th to 3rd July 2016 when sadly she passed away. She was treated with extreme dignity and loving care the whole time she was there. She was admitted with terminal breast cancer and was bedridden after falling down the stairs at home. The staff who looked
after her were faultless and the nurses were exceptional. Every member of staff who came in contact with her whether cleaner or management all acknowledged that she existed and would pass the time of day with her. I can only thank you for her care in the short time she was with you.

My sister has come on smashing since she has been in Kingswood Manor she looks great and is starting to get strong enough to get on her feet, the staff are all very pleasant and helpful, very clean, no smells around and I for one, I'm made up to her looking so well and happy. Yours sincerely.

Compared to mum's previous care home Kingswood Manor is light, bright and spacious. Well decorated and comfortable. I like that the residents and carers are all in the same lounge which creates a feeling of continuous care. I'm not a fan of chairs around the edge of a room I prefer grouped chair system
to try to encourage interaction between residents, a quiet resident could gain much from a more chatty one. Overall since December I have been pleased with the care mum has received. Carers/nurses/management are approachable and friendly and willing to listen when mum isn't eating/drinking well. Would definitely recommend.

My mother has been a resident since 10/15. She has been in poor health following a water infection since 12/15. The care and consideration she has received from the staff at Kingswood has been marvellous.

Apart from inconsistent care of my Ileostomy bag the general care has been very good. The staff have been dedicated and caring in many ways.

The whole family of residents are delighted with the care being provided. The staff are wonderful, caring and always are thinking of events/parties for residents. My uncle has dementia and other health problems. On entering Kingswood Mount he was agitated, aggressive and hostile to all his care-givers. He was at war with everybody. Over the last 3 months I have watched him gradually calming down to the point where he now seems tranquil at times.
The staff have
been excellent. Their approach has been to avoid unnecessary stimulation and avoidance of situations that he finds provoking, and it is definitely working. I like the atmosphere in this home - people are kind, gentle and welcoming to visitors and clients alike. The carers must be well trained and selected because everyone seems to be 'on the same page'. I truly feel that he is being well cared for and is in the best possible place.

My dear mum went to stay there for palliative care, the care my mum received was excellent, the carers showed mum so much care, kept her clean, brushed her hair and treated her with the dignity she deserved. They were so attentive and nothing was too much for them even in their busy days. The cleaners
would go in and chat with mum as if they always knew her and the nurses were wonderful and always listened to your concerns. I would recommend Kingswood to anybody who needs a loved one looking after, sadly mum passed away on 29th September 2015.

I enjoy working with the team to provide the best possible person-centred care for our residents. I worked as a health care assistant from the age of 18 and later gained an honour’s degree in Psychology. Working with older adults and people living with dementia led me to study Mental Health Nursing. I gained experience from my positions as a Nurse, Deputy, and Registered Manager in various care homes and I am very fond of working with the older population and value the experiences and wisdom which they impart. Having family members live in care homes has provided me with insight into what is important to the people in our care, and their loved ones.


I enjoy spending time with my partner and our two cats, as well as our family and friends. I love reading, hiking, mountain climbing, riding, and music festivals.
