I cannot praise the staff enough for the care they gave my wife for the 17 months she was on Jubilee Ward before she sadly passed away on the 10th of July 2024, I would also like to thank the team leader at the time for all the help she gave me and my wife and all who made my wife's stay as comfortable
as possible, thanks to you all.

My dad was in the home for four years and he received the very best of care from all the staff. They always went above and beyond for him, their kindness was always there and their compassion also. I could not fault them on anything, they were always there for our family's needs too. Thank you for everything
you did for him and us.

It's a bit difficult to give a true review because of the pandemic as my husband only arrived at Paisley Court in February 2020. Then visiting stopped in March. From what I have been able to see, he has been looked after very well but it has been really hard not being able to see him until recently
as an essential carer, which I have been thankful for.

The care my mum has received since joining Paisley Court is amazing. We have never seen mum smile this much in six months since her diagnosis with dementia. The support she is given and interaction is really unbelievably amazing. The staff are all so lovely. She was given an amazing welcome from the
minute she walked through the door.

I would like to say a big thank you to all staff at Paisley Court. My husband has been a resident for 12 months now and the care he's received is excellent. When he arrived from hospital he couldn't sit up, he couldn't walk and weighed about ten stone. With the care he received from his one to one helped
him gain his confidence and he put on weight.
All staff including the manager, cleaners, catering staff, office staff and also the maintenance men, have a good relationship with the residents, and also the relatives. It is like a home from home. You can add what you like in their rooms, including a tv, a small fridge, and your own curtains, photos on the wall etc. My husband was so poorly when he arrived and you wouldn't recognise him today.
The home is cleaned constantly and does not have a smell associated with care homes, I can't thank them enough.
The manager is trying her best to accomadate relatives with visits from the relatives, but she has to follow the guidance.

At the onset of her vascular dementia after she was sectioned and spent some time in a local psychiatric hospital my wife was transferred to Paisley Court. To begin with I had misgivings about what to expect. We were greeted by the manager, who was kindness itself. She introduced us to the senior nurse
and two carers who took charge of my wife and treated like a friend. To begin with she was treated on a one-to-one basis until she settled in. Since then, the atmosphere in the home has been marvellous and I couldn't find any fault with treatment, care or friendly attitude of the entire staff both to my wife and myself. In Paisley Court you have created a truly friendly and caring home.

The care provided to my husband is second to none. All staff from the management to kitchen staff do their utmost to accommodate my husbands needs. He always looks well groomed, which is attributed to the caring staff at Paisley Court.
Because my husband was in a different care home previously. I am
in a position to compare the two, I can honestly say, I can arrive home each day after visiting with peace of mind knowing he is well looked after. Thank you Paisley Court.

Current Review Score: 8.4 (8.437)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.4 (8.437) out of 10 for Paisley Court is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.7 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.7 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Care Home is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.729 for Paisley Court is calculated as follows: ( (35 Excellents x 5) + (13 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 48 Ratings = 4.729

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.708 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Paisley Court is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the registered maximum number of service users in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Care Home registered for a maximum of 50 service users has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 60 registered maximum number of service users is 12. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 12 = 0.333

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Care Home does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.

Job Title: Home Manager

Residents are at the forefront of everything we do here at Paisley Court. We consider it a huge privilege to care for them and are proud their families trust us to do this.

I am a registered nurse and have worked my way up from carer to home manager which has been a big career highlight for me. I chose to work for Care UK because I am particularly interested in caring for residents with Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia.

In all care roles, you need to have empathy and patience. Even more so when you support those living with dementia. I find having a good sense of humour helps immensely too.

For me, I think the best part of every day is knowing that residents and colleagues are happy here. Paisley Court is a wonderful home with a great family atmosphere where we support each other in a caring and nurturing way.

In my spare time, I like to walk, swim and spend time with my family.
