I moved Mum into the nursing wing at Stapely Residential & Nursing Home in June last year after an awful experience elsewhere and I am so pleased that I did. There are so many positive aspects to Stapely that it is hard to know where to start. The staff really are a lovely bunch of people. They are
so consistently friendly and helpful. I assume that the management is extremely careful about who they recruit to begin with. I also assume that the staff are well trained in “the Stapely way” because they are so consistently pleasant, helpful and respectful. I always enjoy chatting with the care team who work so hard to care properly for residents and also with the kitchen and cleaning staff and the staff who man the door and work in the coffee lounge. It feels like a family and, most importantly, my mum is really happy there. It is reassuring to me to have qualified and experienced nurses on hand 24 hours a day. Management is accessible, supportive and helpful. I would highly recommend this exceptional care home.

The first 2 days my mother was a resident the care was excellent, unfortunately, the following days her care was of a very poor standard. Had not been out of bed for 10 days, advised staff of this, and was left in a very uncomfortable position in a chair in the lounge, with her cheeks full of food and
coming out of her mouth, for over 5 and a half hours, with a carer sitting close by. Advised management of this but not had the courtesy of a reply since my mother's death. Poor communication amongst the staff and large use of agency staff.
