We are sorry to hear your concerns about the activities in the home. We are pleased to announce that we have recently recruited a new magic moments coordinator, so moving forward there will be plenty of activities and entertainment on offer for our residents. Our magic moments together programme, encourages all-round wellbeing. In equal measure we focus on keeping the mind sharp and agile, the body fit and mobile and the soul lively and engaged through entertainment, challenges, discoveries and personal interest activity.
We have lots of exciting events and activities to look forward to in the home this summer, including big plans for the Queen’s Jubilee. Please do get in touch with the home directly if you would like to discuss anything further.

Job Title: Home Manager at Victoria Care Home, St Helens
Laura has worked in the Health and Social Care sector for over 20 years. She began as a care assistant before attending university where she gained a BSc (Hons) degree in Adult Nursing. From this point, she joined Victoria Care Home. After many years as a nurse, she became Deputy Manager and now Home Manager. Laura also has a Level 2 and 3 NVQ and a GNVQ in Health and Social Care. Laura is a proud mother to her two children. Outside of work, she is an avid reader and loves to swim. Words of encouragement from Laura for someone looking for the right care home would be: “The first impressions always count. Always go and have a look around and get a feel for the place as this is important.”
