With a team dedicated to enriching the lives of their residents, the quality of the person-centred care at Willow Gardens is what makes this home special. Some of the team have been there for over 10 years, giving it that warm, family feel.

The home is a hub of activity, from animal visits and crafts to gardening, where the residents grow their own fruit and vegetables in their mini allotment, harvesting them for the chef to use in the kitchen. There are regular pamper sessions, with manicures and hand massages, and there is a hair salon for weekly appointments with the mobile hairdresser.

And the local community are truly embraced into life at Willow Gardens. The Prince’s Trust volunteers and local students are regular visitors, with residents invited to events at the local college, most recently being a Christmas meal.

Every week the residents visit the local cricket club, where they enjoy comedy, music and dance performances. And there are shopping trips to The Strand Shopping Centre, a stone’s throw from the home, as well as a weekly Holy Communion at the home itself.

There are also trips further afield, from the residents’ most popular destination, Chester Zoo, to Blackpool and the nearby safari park.

Loved ones are welcome at any time and often enjoy taking part in activities. And if they can’t be there in person, they can catch up with what the residents have been enjoying doing on the home’s private family and friends Facebook page.

In the dining room they enjoy delicious home-cooked meals prepared by the chef, with home baking for afternoon tea. The residents also provide feedback on the menu, so it’s shaped to them. They enjoy tasting sessions for the seasonal menus, as well as cocktail and mocktail making.

The home has recently had an impressive refurbishment, with some wonderful spaces for residents to enjoy, from the beautifully decorated bedrooms to the welcoming lounges.

When Mum went to Willow Gardens in June 2023, as a family, and for mum it was very hard as her life has changed as ours have to. It certainly wasn't a easy decision but Mum needs 24 hour care with everything mobility, dressing, toilet needs. We did have a few teething problems at it but I and my sisters
addressed them straight away. The manager was lovely, very professional and listened to us and always approachable. I am happy with Mum's care and all the carers. Nothing is too much trouble for them and Mum is fussy with her food, then again the chef is always on hand to discuss her likes and dislikes. Willow Gardens is always clean, decorated nice and lovely and warm as mum feels the cold like a lot of residents. There is good banter with carers residents and families.

My friend moved into Willow Gardens Residental and Nursing Home a couple of months ago. I cannot praise the staff, management and maintenance enough. They can't do enough for you always smiling on every visit, even the resident's families are all kind. The decor is absolutely lovely feels like home
from home. The food is excellent, my friend had a little appetite now she is eating very well now and has enjoyed getting to know everyone. A beautiful care home.

I'm so pleased I can't use any names as each and every one of the carers, or angels as I like to call them, were absolutely wonderful. I couldn't have wished for my husband to be looked after any better. On leaving him at night I knew he was in good care. You should be proud of Willow Gardens.

I would like to say that our family are very pleased and impressed with Willow Gardens Residential and Nursing Home for the care they are providing for our aunty. She has taken a month or so to settle in but is very happy and content at the home. She feels safe and that is what we wanted. Anything she

I cannot express enough how excellent this care home has been not only to my aunt but myself and my mum. They have gone above and beyond to make my aunts stay excellent and happy, she was loved and so well cared for. Treated with care, love and dignity. The staff from carers, cleaners, cooks, hairdressers,
nurses, admin but especially one lovely caring and understanding member of staff. Thank you so much for making it a lovely home for my aunt i wish you all love and happiness.

In my personal opinion, the home and staff are very accommodating. They greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome. The home is spotless, there is a very nice feeling to it. The patients all seem very happy because they are being looked after properly. I as a visitor rate the home a big 10/10.

Mum went to Willow Gardens straight from hospital for end-of-life care. We couldn't have wished for a better place. It exceeded all our expectations. We are so grateful to all the staff for looking after our Mum till she passed away. The care shown was genuine, not just to the residents but to the families
as well. We were welcomed whenever we visited, we felt cared for too. Spotlessly clean, bright and comfortable, lovely meals and a kind and cheerful workforce, willing and able to spend time with everyone. The residents were happy and content, you can't make the atmosphere calm and relaxed unless it actually is. Our mum was comfortable and settled and always had a smile on her face! If you can secure a place at Willow Gardens, please accept it, you will not be disappointed. Your loved one will not only be looked after but cared for. This is definitely a place to call home even if it's only for a short time. We would like to thank the manager and all the staff again for their care and kindness during Mum's final months. We greatly appreciate you all.

My mum really enjoyed the activities over the Easter period. She enjoyed wearing her Easter bonnet and engaging in games of bingo and pass the parcel.

My father was moved to Willow Gardens from a previous care home that offered poor service. Willow Gardens was recommended by a friend with a relative there. From the first moment, until Dad passed recently, the care, attention and respect he received was wonderful. The manager is enthusiastic and committed
as are the staff, nothing is too much trouble. Dad’s health had declined but the nursing care he received was first-class. As a family, we are so grateful that Dad’s last few months were spent at Willow Gardens. Keep up the wonderful work you are all stars.

My brother-in-law came from a very caring, loving home with his family. The move into care was a huge leap for him but the staff from day one made him feel very safe and settled. I live a distance away but am in regular contact. If the staff have any concerns about him they always get in touch. All
his needs are catered for and I am very pleased with the care he receives.

My mum has to move out of another nursing home last year, which was also run by the same company, Sanctuary Care. It was an extremely difficult time, worrying over the move. The staff were really caring and welcoming and the manager at the time was very professional and understanding. They love my mum.
Now there is a new manager, she has been very professional and informative. Kind and caring. On 19th November 2022, Mum has been here one year and I am happy with her placement.

My mum has very complex issues, especially around chronic pain - the staff try to do as much as they can to keep her comfortable and settled. If I need anything they will always help me as much as they can. It has a nice atmosphere in the home. There is never a problem talking to the nurses and carers
when you need them and they always treat my mum with dignity.

We cannot fault the care and compassion shown to our mum at Willow Gardens. All the staff, from the cleaning lady to the manager, are lovely. All staff are attentive and efficient. During a very recent illness, the care and compassion shown by all the staff were outstanding. Mum is always treated with
the utmost dignity at all times. The nursing staff during Mum's illness were fabulous.

My husband is settled, he enjoys chats with staff who are good with him. He cannot stand without a hoist, the staff move him in a caring way. The new manager is very good, she is improving standards here and is friendly and helpful.

Due to covid, I have not been able to visit my sister as often as I would have wished to. However, since the easing of restrictions, I have found the home very accommodating in arranging visits where allowed.
