Dale Park care home, situated in Southport, Merseyside supports older people to lead their best lives with personalised dementia care.

The friendly and newly-refurbished home is comprised of several separate living areas which provide a choice of places in which residents can relax, dine or be creative. The pretty garden, which includes a sensory area, is a favourite spot for residents wishing to take some air and enjoy the company of friends and family. It is also frequently used during the warmer weather for events such as BBQs and Summer Fayres. Dale Park's hairdressing salon and beautiful patio are popular among residents.

A dedicated and professional care team at Dale Park strive to offer support that not only covers residents' care needs but also encourages them to live a fulfilled and happy lifestyle. By taking the time to get to know residents, they design a varied activity programme, offering those living in the home plenty of opportunities to enjoy the things they love most. The catering team also take the same approach, understanding that nutritional needs will be different for each person they create a range of delicious meals to ensure a lovely dining experience for all residents, centred around dietary requirements as well as personal preferences.

Lovely caring staff. Very helpful and so happy to see that my mum loves it too. I’ve seen a big change in her since she moved to Dale Park. The manager is great and responsive to questions and calls. I’m overseas at the moment and she is supportive to making video calls possible. Very grateful my mum
is in good hands.

Always friendly staff who go out of their way to help. Residents are always clean and tidy as are all the communal areas. The staff all seem happy in their work and treat the residents with the dignity they deserve

Moving anyone into a care home is a massive decision to make I viewed "Dale Park Care Home" amongst other care homes "Dale Park" came out on top of all the others. The greeting I got from the manager was outstanding. I was given a viewing of each area including bedrooms, dining areas and communal areas.
I found all to be outstanding and extremely clean. Since my wife was admitted I have found all the staff to be extremely caring. Nothing is too much trouble. Any questions I have were answered. From medication to patient attention is outstanding. Documentation is entered correctly. My wife is very settled in "Dale Park". This is a very caring environment and highly recommended. Thank you.

My mum has only spent the past three weeks here so far, but I cannot pick fault with anything. The home itself is spotless, modern, bright and with a homely feel. All the staff are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble. Everyone is so friendly towards me, Mum and my family.

I can't thank the staff enough and especially the Dale Park manager who has gone above and beyond for my mum to be placed at Dale Park. My mum is happy well looked after. Lovely atmosphere plenty of staff I could not be happier knowing my mum is in such a lovely home I'm so grateful.

My mum arrived at Dale Park after spending 3 weeks in hospital. Since her arrival, she has been treated with the utmost kindness, courtesy and respect. Management and staff all demonstrate kindness, care and genuine fondness when interacting with Mum and all their residents. I can rest assured that
Mum will be kept happy and safe at Dale Park and that is such a comfort and a blessing!

I have been visiting my friend every week since she went to Dale Park. She is really very well looked after. The staff are attentive and are obviously fond of her. The place is comfortable and very clean. The staff have always welcomed me when I go.

Dale Park has been a very good experience for my wife who has been resident now for about 18 months. She has received very kind care here in many difficult circumstances that arise from day to day as a result of health and care needs. The staff here provide round the clock care and attention to her,
executed with special kindness. To us this is the most important aspect of any care home, together with good medical care. Thanks to the hard work and attention of the staff, my wife is about as happy as we could have hoped for, and we are fortunate to have selected Dale Park from the many care homes in the Southport area.

Mum was recently unwell, during this time the whole Dale Park team rallied round. They identified early on that Mum would be better on an air mattress due to spending more time than usual in bed, they sorted this out straight away. When struggling to eat the kitchen staff pureed her food and the carers
were very patient sitting with her and encouraging her to eat and drink. Some staff even called in when their shift had finished to see how she was before they went home. I knew all the staff and management at Dale Park were kind, caring and professional, but during recent weeks I have been blown away by their attitude. They always treat my mum with dignity and encourage her to make her own decisions where possible (even though her dementia is at an advanced stage). The whole team are amazing, carers, nurses, kitchen team, cleaning staff, laundry staff, building maintenance, activity coordinators, office staff and management team, I don't think you could get better!

Truly an excellent place for my mum. Staff work very hard with her, as she can be very impatient and sometimes aggressive, foul language at times, and they are so kind and caring. Thank you, everyone. Brilliant job from everyone.

I am so happy with Dale Park staff and management. The standard of care is amazing. I am well informed on my mum's health and wellbeing. Mum has settled well. As a care assistant of twenty-five years for five servers, I am happy with her standard of care. Lovely home from home.

There is a nice vibe to the home, always find it warm and friendly. The staff are amazing. So patient and caring. I love the fact that all the staff know my dad's name - even the chef and kitchen staff - so nice.
I get regular updates on my dad's health and well-being. I know he is safe and well cared
for. Thanks also due for a day out with my dad organised by the home.

Visited my aunt today and she's always clean and cared for despite her health issues. Her room is consistently clean and tidy. The team at Dale Park are a great bunch, from reception, to manager, to kitchen crew, to the 'hands-on' carers. My aunt's been in three/four homes and Dale park is without doubt
the best by far. The real strength is the people.

My dad has been a resident at Dale Park Care Home for five years. The care he has received has been wonderful. The staff are amazing and the food is great. During Covid, they have all been outstanding.
My only worry is that head office keeps reducing staffing levels. They should not do this. It puts
too much strain on the staff.

I have not been able to visit my aunty due to the restrictions but I am always made to feel at ease when I ring up. The staff are friendly and take time. Prior to the pandemic, I visited regularly and nothing is too much trouble. My only criticism is it needs to be decorated. Well done Dale Park.

I am happy with the level of care provided by Dale Park. My mum is happy and settled there and I believe she has the best possible quality of life for her condition. The staff are friendly and caring and keep me informed and updated as necessary. I have no concerns over my mum's care and throughout

My dad has been a resident at Dale Park since October 2015 and his care there has, in the main, been very good. From day one, all staff and senior nurses have been amazing in the care which was provided to my stepmother. They excelled themselves during COVID times, a credit to your organisation. My stepmother's palliative care was exceptional, going above and beyond in facilitating WhatsApp and Facetime calls
with family members, in our opinion, there isn't a better Elderly Mentally Infirm home in the area.

Introducing Andrea Ekuruemu
Home Manager at Dale Park, Southport


What does kindness mean to you?


“Positive interactions, smiles on faces, working together and communicating well. Being able to spend time with the Residents and finding out about them; involvement and inclusion.”


As a Registered Nurse, Andrea has gained many years of experience in providing care and support for older people to enrich their lives. She is a knowledgeable and dedicated leader who is passionate about delivering the highest possible standards in care and quality of life for Residents.


Andrea shares that HC-One’s vision is aiming to provide the kindest care for each and every Resident. She uses her experience to motivate her team to deliver care and support in a way that Residents gain the most benefit, in a warm and welcoming home.


When asked why she chose to work in the care sector, Andrea remarked:


“I really love people. I have all the time in the world to give. There is nothing better than making someone’s day special or being able to just listen and offer company and kindness.”


Outside of work, Andrea enjoys spending time with her three children, travelling and visiting new places, including Barbados and Dubai. She also likes trying new food from different countries and learning about new cultures.
