I was very apprehensive when we found out the home was being taken over, however, that has certainly been eased by the way the management team have made improvements to the day-to-day running of the home. To be honest, also some things that had not been apparent by the previous owner.
They keep the
family updated on how my mum is doing through chats and family meetings with encouragement from family members on any further improvements and events the residents may enjoy.
The staff are excellent and always welcoming and very caring and a credit to the manager and her husband. My mum is safe and happy I cannot praise the home and staff enough and would have no hesitation in recommending HollyBank.

I have just attended the second family meeting afternoon at Holly Bank. What a lovely afternoon was had by all! Held in the living room, residents, family & friends, lovely food & drink available, a fundraising raffle with super prizes, and an update of plans going forward from the new owner.
The new
owners have taken onboard a lovely small nursing home, and are gradually making changes to the way this home is run - all positive! New menu options, regular activities, Resident Of The Day, and a social media group for example. All in all lots more communication and overall so welcoming & friendly. All the staff are so caring and are such a credit. Dad is very, happy here & so well cared for. All of his needs are more than met, and the staff are very quick to pick up on changes in his health and will call for advice from the GP etc. without delay. Opticians, hairdressing and chiropodist appointments are also scheduled.
We cannot praise Holly Bank enough, thank you for all you do.

Mum has been so much happier since the manager and her husband took over and have endeavoured to make improvements on the social interaction side that had been sorely missed since the pandemic. The atmosphere of the home is happy and Mum feels safe and loved there, the only feedback I get from Mum is
sometimes the food isn’t great but I think this will improve as the cook gets to know what the residents like and dislike. Family feedback is encouraged which is great to feel listened to, 100% improvement with the new owners but still room for improvement on the food.
