Tudor Bank Nursing Home is a warm, welcoming and friendly home that provides outstanding nursing care to people living with dementia and younger people with mental health problems, situated in a lovely residential area of Southport, close to the town centre and the wonderful tourist attractions in the local area.

The home has two large lounge areas and dining areas as well as a garden room with patio doors into the dementia friendly garden where residents love to relax and spend time socialising with family and friends. The home also has a beauty salon where residents enjoy being pampered!

Most bedrooms have en-suite facilities and the team encourage residents to personalise their rooms to make them feel more homely.

The home has an extensive activities programme, whether it’s a stroll into town for a coffee, a trip to the Lakes, a personal one to one with the activities coordinator, a sing along, surfing the Internet or for the most adventurous a play on the Nintendo Wii, the friendly care workers are here to help you live life to the fullest.

My mother was a resident at Tudor Bank for a few years, of late there seemed to a high turnover of staff a lot of agency and understaffed. My mother died during the Coronavirus, we, her children were not allowed to visit. My sister had a call to say my mother was end of life, no explanation to say what
had happened when her demise started and 18 hours later she passed. I took the phone call in the early hours, the nurse on duty had a lovely manner and was very comforting. But there are still no offers of information or explanation. We know nothing of her last few weeks alive. Then to had insult to injury they sent a condolence card to my brother and sister, I as her eldest child, next of kin, completely ignored not even acknowledged. I can’t even begin to express the deep hurt I felt by this disrespectful act. My daughter, my mothers youngest grandchild rang the home to express her absolute disgust at such an evil thing to do. Damage is done I can’t recommend Tudor Bank after this.
