The manager and the team are doing a fantastic job. Our uncle has settled in Derwent Lodge very well and that is due to the friendly and professional manner of all the staff. We were particularly happy when the staff came up with a surprise 80th birthday celebration for our uncle after him being there
only one week.

My sister moved to Derwent Lodge ten months ago, she has been in assisted living for forty years until she developed a terminal illness. As my sister has had a mental illness for forty years I was worried about her care and demands and the care and dignity they show her. The carers are amazing, so kind
to her. I feel I made the right choice with no problems at all.

My dad has been in this lovely home for two years. It’s been a challenging time for everyone due to Covid but he has been very well looked after. Nothing is ever too much trouble, the nursing and care staff are exceptional. He has thrived under their care. The activities in the home are consistently
at a high standard. The patients are encouraged and supported to take part in a variety of entertaining and stimulating activities. My dad is very safe, well, happy and contented.

Very clean and fresh smelling. Staff are very friendly with nothing being too much trouble. My uncle seems very happy here and the family are comforted knowing he is well looked after and safe. Just spent a lovely afternoon sitting outside with my friend and his friends. The carer kept the chat going, while they were supplied with drinks and biscuits. My friend has really settled in..this shows itself by his attitude and body language...no signs of agitation or stress...(he has dementia).
His
room/bed are spotless...and his personal hygiene is well looked after.
I feel the staff have taken time to know my friend...as they know his ways...and get his jokes!
Derwent Lodge has lightened the load of putting a Dad/and a dear friend into care.

My partner has resided at Derwent Lodge since March after it was recommended as an option by the hospice where he receiving care due to his brain cancer. Upon understanding that he needed 24-hour attention, as well as other specific care, Derwent Lodge was put forward as a suitable location for him
as they had the facility to fulfill his needs. The care that the team have provided him in the short space of time since he became a resident has been nothing short of exceptional. The team has been professional, considerate and compassionate, and his needs and welfare have been at the heart of their decisions regarding his care and safety. Knowing that my partner is being looked after in such a manner has been very comforting in such a difficult time. Since the recent decision was made to allow an indoor visitor, his family have also felt assured and safe in the knowledge that I am able to see him in person, as it allows them to also recognise the care that Derwent Lodge provide.

The first time we saw Derwent Lodge we knew it was the right place for Dad. Dad's journey with dementia was going into its final stages and it was so tough to even consider removing him from his home. Everyone at Derwent Lodge was kind, considerate and understanding of our difficult decision and the
transition we had to make. Dad spent just over 2 years at Derwent and the team could not have been more supportive, caring and loving. Dad's last few years were the happiest they could have been due to the professional team at Derwent Lodge.

I have been visiting my aunty since we have been able to due to the pandemic. I can't recommend Derwent Lodge enough. The staff are fabulous from the moment you arrive at reception. All staff are very accommodating and friendly. They have arranged zoom calls for my aunty with her son and daughter in
law who live out of the area. Fabulous room and an additional bonus a fabulous view of Liverpool Waterfront.

He got well looked after and staff went above and beyond to make him feel comfortable, they would allow me to do a zoom call so I was able to see and speak to him which really helped as due to covid was not able to see them. My relative
