Charlotte House is a warm, spacious and welcoming care home where a highly trained team offer high quality residential, nursing, respite and palliative care in comfortable, homely surroundings.

Upon arrival, residents are supported by the staff to develop a personalised care plan using an electronic comprehensive integrated Care Planning system. This not only records information around an individual's care needs but also includes interests, hobbies and dietary preferences. This system gives everyone involved in residents’ care instant access to care information and preferences from their individual care plan to provide responsive and person-centred care.

They use an electronic medication system for clear and accurate and safe administration of medications and also assist residents, who are able to and chose to, look after their own medications.

Varied, imaginative and meaningful activities are planned by the home's Activities Coordinator and delivered by the whole team. Activities are chosen based on discussions with residents and their relatives.

A daily menu is prepared by the on-site chef who creates restaurant-style meals from locally sourced ingredients. Residents have the option to eat in their own rooms or in the dining room - which is a hub of conversation and laughter.

My mother has been a resident at Charlotte House Care Home since January 2020. The day-to-day care, (including medical care), given to my mother is exceptional. Her general health and well-being have improved beyond all recognition in that time. She is very happy and content and has nothing but praise
for all her carers who always treat her with respect and dignity. Recently, my mother had a fall that required hospital treatment. The quick and efficient response of the staff on duty was very reassuring. I was contacted immediately as were the paramedics.
My husband and I are also very grateful to the reception staff who go out of their way to be helpful and supportive and for keeping us fully informed on a regular basis regarding any changing developments, family meetings or just general information. We have nothing but praise for all the staff and have no hesitation in recommending Charlotte House. It is an outstanding care home with a very professional, caring and friendly staff.

Mostly very happy with my husband’s care. The staff are all very kind and caring, doing a great job often under pressure. I sometimes find his wheelchair very dirty with spilt food and hope that this could be rectified. Nevertheless, he is cared for very well overall.

My grandad has been in Charlotte House Care Home now for a good few months. I have no hesitation in recommending the home. On his arrival, the management, nurses and care staff team were very friendly, and welcoming and went above and beyond to make sure my grandad felt safe and comfortable and that
I and my family were reassured. The manager, deputy, nurses and care staff team have been very consistent and knowledgeable about my grandad's health conditions and the care required to suit his specific needs. Communication with my family and other health professionals has been excellent. I have found the management very professional and approachable. The whole staff team are very friendly and I can leave my grandad knowing he will have had lots of activities to engage in, trips out in the home's minibus, food that he has thoroughly enjoyed, a beautifully clean room and a lot of caring people around him. Thank you so much to all of you for all that you do from the whole family.

My dad was a resident from January 2020 until 1st August 2022 when he sadly passed away. Dad loved his time at Charlotte House Care Home and we, his family, will always be grateful for the wonderful care he received and the support we were given during what turned out to be two incredibly challenging
years for all concerned with adult social care. Dad was enabled to live his life to the full as staff worked alongside us to play to his strengths. We shall never forget the love and kindness he and we received right up to the end of his life. Charlotte House and all staff will always hold a special place in our hearts. Thank you.

My mum was only there for a short time before she passed away and I can honestly say the staff who cared for her were truly amazing, so caring and friendly, top marks to them all. The home is always immaculate and staff are very welcoming. I would recommend this home to anyone looking for a nursing

An absolute pleasure to attend the Jubilee celebration at Charlotte House Care Home, the residents, staff and other visitors enjoyed the afternoon, it was so well organised and fun. The food was excellent, the bunting and decorations were amazing and everyone was thoroughly entertained by the singer.

Since my mother moved into Charlotte House Care Home, we have been very pleased with the care that she has received. When my sister and I visited prior to Mum moving in, we were hit by the warm, welcoming atmosphere as you go into reception. The manager was so helpful and kind. The room is lovely and
Mum is contented with her care and all the carers are so good and kind to her, making her as comfortable as possible and trying to keep to her routine! Thanks to everyone.

In recent dealings with the management of Charlotte House I can say that their help and cooperation during a stressful time has been exemplary. The staff are extremely caring and kind with Mom and are always available to offer a helping hand. Facilities are excellent and with the addition of a new minibus

Returned in October as an essential support carer, provided I had been vaccinated and taken the lateral flow tests per visit when other visitors were not allowed to attend due to Covid restrictions. Charlotte House Care Home has followed all Covid advice extremely well, in order to protect the residents.
Have found the new care provider company to be very helpful and good care to the lady I visit each week. The manager, admin, secretaries, care staff and even the cleaning staff are so pleasant too. The meals seem to look very nourishing and well cooked. The lady I see is always kept spotless, her room is kept clean and she is well-liked by all. The whole team are very kind to me and will give me answers to my questions if called upon.

Some staff are very helpful and others are not as helpful. Agency staff are poor.
Menu could be more varied.

The care shown to my mum was exceptional. She was really well looked after in every sense of the word.
Whilst the carers we met were all good, I want to mention that one in particular was exceptional. The two nurses that looked after Mum were absolutely brilliant and caring.
The receptionist was
so understanding and helpful.
Your admin manager has zero people skills and was dreadful.

Throughout the pandemic over the last dreadful year, it has been heartbreaking to be unable to see our dear Dad, who will be 100 next month! So last week, it was so emotional to have a visit with Dad. The visit was well organised and safe, took place in a pleasant surrounding, and we were looked after
by lovely, kind staff members. Dad looked great, and it well looked after and cared for in Charlotte House. We can't thank "team Charlotte" enough for all their love and care for our precious Dad.

I have worked in the care industry for 29 years to date.


I have managed a range of different services, from commissioning new services through to troubleshooting and improving struggling homes. I have also had experience as a regional manager which gave me the opportunity to manage people that have become dispersed across several local authorities.


I have a degree in management, a registered managers award, Level 5 in care management. I am also a trained dementia tutor. I am passionate about providing excellent care. I pride myself in inspiring my team to make a difference in our resident's lives.
