Charlotte House is a warm, spacious and welcoming care home where a highly trained team offer high quality residential, nursing, respite and palliative care in comfortable, homely surroundings.

Upon arrival, residents are supported by the staff to develop a personalised care plan using an electronic comprehensive integrated Care Planning system. This not only records information around an individual's care needs but also includes interests, hobbies and dietary preferences. This system gives everyone involved in residents’ care instant access to care information and preferences from their individual care plan to provide responsive and person-centred care.

They use an electronic medication system for clear and accurate and safe administration of medications and also assist residents, who are able to and chose to, look after their own medications.

Varied, imaginative and meaningful activities are planned by the home's Activities Coordinator and delivered by the whole team. Activities are chosen based on discussions with residents and their relatives.

A daily menu is prepared by the on-site chef who creates restaurant-style meals from locally sourced ingredients. Residents have the option to eat in their own rooms or in the dining room - which is a hub of conversation and laughter.

My thanks go out to the staff team at Charlotte House Care Home who provided the best quality care, support and compassion. My friend was reluctant to go into residential care but felt immediately safe, respected and cared for at Charlotte House. He was there for over a year and had only positive things
to say about the staff team. Also, as visitors, myself and his two sons were made to feel welcome visiting the home which made such a difference. Staff always made time for a chat. I would highly recommend Charlotte House due to the wonderful staff team.

My Brother was anxious and unhappy when he was told he needed to move to a care home. We were worried too but in a very short time of moving to Charlotte House, his mood changed he was happy starting eating well something that had been a real problem before. Now he tells us I Love it here I’m really
happy, genuinely words we never expected to hear. That is down to the wonderful staff with whom he has a great rapport. Nothing is too much trouble for them and we as a family are extremely grateful to the staff here. I would recommend Charlotte House to Anyone it’s 5 stars in every way.

All members of staff were excellent, very kind and caring to my mother. My mother was very well looked after. The staff would have a chat with her and show my mother pictures of their families, which my mother loved and would ask about how they were doing. My mother passed away on the 21st August 2019,
all the staff that were there, they showed compassion and love to my family and at the passing of my mother, your staff were very genuine.

Brilliant staff, lovely clean home. Mum settled in nicely after a lot of worry. She was reassured everything would be fine and it is. As a family we are so relieved and have every confidence mum will be well looked after.

My mother was admitted into Charlotte House Care Home for some respite care following a short stay in hospital. She was made to feel very welcome and settled in well and quickly, mainly due to the amazing care staff. My mothers, mine and everyone who visited the care home commented on how wonderful
the staff are, they are friendly, caring, warm, kind and attentive. They went out of their way to ensure she was comfortable and all her needs were met. I can't thank them enough for everything they have done to help my mother over the last 5 weeks.

Charlotte House is an attractive home with a hotel-like appearance, but its main asset is its staff who are unfailingly kind, responsive and good-humoured.
The result is a cheerful, safe atmosphere, which has been great for my father and I look forward to visiting.

My father has been a resident for seven months. During that time I have found the staff to be kind and friendly and the flow of information in both directions between my family and the home has been very good.


My father appears clean and well cared for, and often comments on the excellent quality

of the meals provided. When my aunt also required a care home, my family had no hesitation in placing her with my father in Charlotte House.

Having moved homes due to a poor quality of care, we are delighted with the care he is receiving. My friend thinks we have moved him into a five-star hotel. As an alcoholic with incontinence issues, my friend and his room are kept clean, treated with dignity and he looks smarter than when he lived at
home. His room never smells (like the previous home) and the staff and management are always pleasant and professional. They are very proactive to his needs. We highly recommend Charlotte House.

Very friendly caring staff from the initial visit to respite care. Nursing care excellent. Dad was dreading staying, but enjoyed himself, especially the food. Not been apart from Mum for 58 years and is now OK with coming back.

Have found that food is not so good, when the male chef is on ie fish is small and more batter than fish, chips are more like french fries, certain soups are watery and no flavour.
Also, there never seems to be any wholemeal bread.

I have worked in the care industry for 29 years to date.


I have managed a range of different services, from commissioning new services through to troubleshooting and improving struggling homes. I have also had experience as a regional manager which gave me the opportunity to manage people that have become dispersed across several local authorities.


I have a degree in management, a registered managers award, Level 5 in care management. I am also a trained dementia tutor. I am passionate about providing excellent care. I pride myself in inspiring my team to make a difference in our resident's lives.
