St George's Nursing Home is conveniently situated to Wallasey's Central Park, Liscard Shopping Centre, GP's & Health Services. There is also a busy bus route for Liverpool and Birkenhead nearby.

St George's Nursing home is a facility for those who are looking for general/dementia nursing or residential care, long and short term residents as well as day care facilities.

Experienced nursing and care staff team believe in person-centred care. These plans are completed with residents and families. The care plans help ensure that each person is treated with respect and independence and choices are maximised.

The home has an activities coordinator who arranges a variety of activities for the residents of St George's. Activities include arts and crafts, chair exercises, days out and quizzes. External activities or entertainment are brought in, such as entertainers.

The home uses electronic care plans and medicare nurse call system. Residents and visitors can access free wifi, the building has CCTV in most communal areas, free parking at front and the rear of the building. There is in-house laundry, food service from appetito which is part of Wiltshire Farm Foods, and residents can have snacks and drinks anytime they prefer.

All Dad's care needs are met. He is treated with dignity and respect at all times. I am kept fully updated about his needs and condition at all times. Staff are friendly and try to keep Dad occupied at all times.

There has been a great improvement in service provision across the whole home over the last few months. The staff are more engaged and more approachable than previously. There has been an improvement to the decoration within the home, resulting in a brighter environment.

When visiting my aunt each day, it was no trouble for any of the staff to help in any way and make me feel welcome. My aunt had the care she needed in every way. Even when we sadly lost my aunt and felt great sadness, the staff were so supportive. We cannot thank them enough for all the care and would

Contact received from St George's to say my mum had an issue with her leg, I was advised what action was taken and that she (my mum) was being observed. Carer said that they would contact me if her condition changed.

We have been very impressed with the level of care and support afforded to my dad since he moved to St George’s at the end of June. All staff are lovely and friendly, extremely patient with my dad’s challenging needs and always welcoming of us when we visit. Special mention must go to the deputy manager,
who advocated strongly for my dad in an assessment meeting and even facilitated video calls between us and dad during our recent holiday. She takes time to understand individual patients’ needs in detail. This reassures us that dad is being well cared for. Thanks so much to everyone at St George’s. We couldn’t ask for anything more and would recommend to anyone!

We cannot fault the care and attention Mum receives from all the staff at St George's. In her final days, they went above and beyond in their care which was of great comfort to us. Cannot thank them enough.

I have found all of the staff helpful and caring towards my dad, who can be difficult. The nursing staff have been good at explaining any problems, especially medical to us. They call prompting if there is a problem. My dad is 100-years-old on 23rd November, and they have been very kind to him and given
him a purpose to live for his birthday when he was very poorly.

There have been problems due to lockdown, but staff have helped me maintain contact with my friend via video calls and notes. Staff have worked hard to protect residents from Covid, and now I can visit again, I feel things are well organised - staff are always prepared to talk about my friend, and she
has friendly care. She has excellent medical care.

I have recommended St George’s to my friend for his mother who has now moved in.
I expressed my experience regarding staff and procedures and how wonderful the staff are. How clean the environment is, and it is easy to speak to someone about Dad. My father moved from my home to St George’s just before
the first lockdown, so it has been traumatic for all of us. Particularly, as Dad also has dementia and can be lucid at times. It’s been harrowing. Thank you to all the staff. We would be lost without you.

Mum appears very content and happy staying at St. George's. The building, whilst old, is clean and comfortable. The overriding good point about St. George's is the staff who, to a person, are caring, approachable, knowledgeable and friendly despite, on occasion, being overwhelmed by requests from and

I am very pleased with the care my friend is given. Always clean. I am not sure about activities he can participate in as he is paralysed down one side. I do think the staff are kind and caring. They have a hard job on. It is nice to hear that he goes out into the garden a bit as it is a change from

My mother moved here from a hospital in February 2013.
She has been very well looked after here by all members of staff and calls it her hotel.
She is able to dress herself and reads a newspaper - she needs constant reminders to use her walker and assistance and help with washing.

My mother has been in the nursing home for 6 years - she had been in a hospital unit near her home. She was able to get out one night and fell and broke her hip. We had tried carers at home and spending as much time with her as possible. She needed a care home but no-one would have her. Another care
home could have her but that would have been a 40-mile trip there and back so St George's Care Home took her and she has been very happy and well looked after here.

My dad has lived at St George's for 6 years now. My son and I looked at at least 10 other homes across the Wirral. When we walked into St George's we both felt we had found somewhere, at last, I could be happy entrusting my dad's care to. I'm happy to say we were right they have looked after my precious
dad as if he were their own. Every member of staff is excellent. Well done St George's and my heartfelt thanks to you all.
