Situated a stone’s throw away from Alderley Edge, Brookview welcomes those with nursing, residential and respite needs, and also offers early stages residential dementia, convalescence and palliative care.

Significant investment has made Brookview a luxury home, with luxurious fixtures and fittings including an ensuite in all bedrooms, stylish furniture and a brand new annex to the main building. There are day lounges on all floors and views of mature gardens, wooded areas and raised flower beds.

There’s a real sense of community at the home. The staff work to discover what residents enjoy doing and the home's social calendar is organised around those interests. So whether your loved one already has a hobby or would like to take up a new one, there are lots of exciting activities to get involved in. I have found the staff at Brookview to be excellent. My friend arrived three years ago, in a very distressed state, objecting strongly to her admission. The staff have managed her emotional state very well, to the extent that, although she would rather be 'free', she has described herself on one occasion
as 'content' and appreciates the comfort and care supplied. I can't praise the staff enough and am very grateful to them.

Myself and my family feel that all of the staff at Brookview have been very polite, friendly, caring and are looking after my mum extremely well. We can't fault them. They always keep me informed if there are any changes with mum.

I can’t thank Brookview Care Home enough for all of the exceptional care they provide for my Father. From the very first day, he arrived each and every one of the staff has gone above and beyond to make him and all our family feel so welcome. I have two young children that love visiting their Grandad
and the staff have always interacted with them making each visit a comfortable and lovely one. I feel very lucky to have found a place at Brookview and I would highly recommend, they look after all the residents as if they were family.

All the staff working on level 3 were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. If I needed any respite then I would certainly apply here first.

I didn't realise until I had spent several weeks in this superb care home and how much it would help me recover from a rather upsetting episode in my life. My husband was a resident in Brookview Alderley Edge for 4 years and 3 months he suffers from Alzheimer's. Throughout his long stay there he was treated with the utmost kindness and dignity he passed away this December peacefully and gently having received wonderful nursing care all through these latter
years. The staff have been cheerful, friendly and courteous to us all as a family and we have valued their love and respect to the end.

Our mum was resident in Brookview for almost 6 years until her death. She was cared for on the dementia floor and a nursing floor. Her care was always exemplary. She always felt safe and secure. All staff, from reception to housekeeping as well as carers treat residents and their families with dignity,
respect and good humour. All areas are kept clean and welcoming. The food is excellent.

As a family, we were extremely satisfied with the care that was provided for my father. From the moment dad was admitted, the staff were there to greet us and help to settle him in. He was made comfortable and adapted to his new environment with the help of a caring team of staff.

I found myself having to find a care home for my mum very quickly as her dementia progressed rapidly due to lockdown. All negotiation was by phone and I was unable to visit and see Brookview due to Covid, but all my conversations on the phone gave me a sense that mum would be cared for really well by
the staff at Brookview. From the moment I dropped her at the door of Brookview, I have been thrilled by the way mum has been looked after. The staff on the Dementia unit have kept me informed throughout the 5 months mum has been with them. The initial few weeks were difficult due to mum being in a new environment, but the staff showed care and concern throughout and now mum see the staff as a family which is wonderful. I look forward to one day meeting the staff. I would recommend Brookview to anyone looking for a care home.

I had to find a care home for my father during lockdown which meant I could not visit any of the homes to see what they looked like inside. The manager at Brookview was very helpful and patient answering my many questions. The virtual tour she gave me helped to get a feel for the home. On the day Dad
was moving in, as the family could not help with this, some of the staff from the wing he would be in and the manager were there to meet and welcome him to the home. Since Dad has been in the home, all the staff have been very supportive to the whole family, especially me, as until recently, we were unable to visit him. Nothing seems to be too much trouble for the staff to help with and we have been able to speak and/or FaceTime Dad as often as we like. As a family, we have peace of mind knowing that Dad is safe and being looked after. He has company and people to talk to whenever he wants, which is something he missed due to lockdown.

I cannot fault Brookview at all. My mum went for respite in March but is now permanent. The staff are friendly, and the care that she receives is second to none. It is clear that they are sensitive to the conditions of the residents. It is not professional to name names, but there are a few carers that
go above and beyond in what is, not an easy job.
The event's organiser is lovely and really seems to enjoy what she does with the residents.
I would not wish for my mum to be anywhere else.
She is safe, fed and warm by the best staff possible.

Communication has been excellent, both in terms of keeping us generally updated (weekly newsletter) and daily with Mum. The tablet computers have been an excellent idea. The care staff, backroom staff, and management have all been brilliant throughout the COVID period. Thank you so much.

Welcomed into the home by staff who were very pleasant and taken to my room, which was a little dark but very adequate. Because I came with several pieces of equipment I felt the room very cramped, for the first two weeks was a pity.
It was also noisy, workmen arriving 7 am getting out pieces of machinery
etc. A very hot room requiring two fans, I think the kitchen was below it. The room was kept very clean, the carers and nurses were great one or two in particular.

All the staff was excellent, caring, kind, supportive, and positive. They looked after my Dad brilliantly and he liked them and could chat with them. Brookview is well run and has a cheerful atmosphere. The staff are well-trained and very kind and well-mannered with the residents. The night time carers can be trusted to keep a good eye on everyone. In normal times the programme of activities and entertainments is excellent. The hygiene standard

Mum was transferred here from a hospital's Intermediate Care. I managed to quickly see where mum was staying as due to covid 19, it was going into "lockdown". Mum has dementia and I witnessed how caring the staff were towards her in settling her in. Particular mention to one carer who offered us both
a cup of tea after a very stressful transfer and the Health Care Assistants who welcomed mum and made sure she had some food. Fresh fish and chips no less. Sadly, I could not visit mum after this but I was able to speak to her on the telephone. Every member of staff were polite and friendly when I spoke to them. The Occupational Therapist was extremely helpful as were the Physios in helping mum to return home. Mum frequently told me how much she was enjoying it there, the staff were lovely and there were a lot of activities which is the stimulation mum needs. I have also spoken with the Manager who was very helpful. Fully recommend this care home.

Sharon Helliwell Short

I have worked for Bupa for just under 5 years. I previously worked in the police force as a communications officer, followed by home care where I then progressed into care homes and worked my way up to where I am today.


Caring for residents is my passion and ensuring all their needs are met. I love engaging with families and the team to ensure Brookview is a great place to live and work.


I am married with three grown-up children and a granddaughter who is five. I live in Knutsford, and in my spare time, I love spending time with my family, going on walks with our dog, sunny holidays and socialising with friends!
