My father-in-law's severely failing health required him to move to a nursing home. My wife (his daughter) and I were apprehensive about this move but, as it turned out, we are so grateful that he was cared for in the final weeks of his life at Chester Lodge. There is a wonderful, kind and compassionate
atmosphere in the home - towards both the residents and their relatives. All the staff, whether nurses, healthcare assistants, domestics or administrative staff are universally engaging and supportive. We were impressed by the wide range of regular activities organised for residents. Sadly, my father-in-law was too frail and unwell to participate in the group activities and entertainment but staff frequently visited him in his room and involved him in friendly conversation, even though he was usually only able to respond to a minimal degree. Chester Lodge benefits from being a family-owned nursing home which engenders a highly committed, personal and caring ethos.

I would like to thank all the members of staff for giving my mum so much love, respect, fantastic care and kindness.
They gave myself and my sisters so much love when we went to see our mum. My mum passed away at the home and the kindness given to us has been lovely. I would highly recommend this home
as it's first-class. The rooms are lovely, clean and each time we visited the staff and residents were happy. The managers deserve a big thank you for all the help they gave us.

Dear Yvonne, thank you for such a lovely review of our service and for allowing us to be part of Mum's life, I speak for all of the staff when I say it was an absolute pleasure and honour not only to have cared for Mum but for all of the warmth we felt from your wonderful family.

Following our visit to our very elderly friend today, we'd like to thank the staff for the outstanding love, care and attention that they show to all their residents and visitors. Between us we have visited various care homes but have never experienced such devotion to duty as your staff. You should
be very proud to employ such a dedicated workforce.

Reply from Angie Higginson, Director at Chester Lodge

Dear Christine, thank you so much for your kind words. I will share your lovely review with our staff. It's an absolute pleasure for us all to play such an important part in our resident's lives and even more so if our contribution is so greatly appreciated. I do hope we see you soon, keep well. Best wishes and huge thanks again.
