Mum has been really well looked after and has made friends. Staff show care, respect and consideration. She is happy and settled. Activities are well structured and Mum loves the outings. Thank you for the care you give to Mum.

My husband has been in Clayton Manor since the end of October 2022. He has settled in very well and seems very happy. The staff are very professional and intensive. It is a lovely environment with lots of activities for the residents to engage in. I'm so happy that my husband is getting looked after

My wife had a two-week respite stay here from the 7th to the 21st of September, this is the third care home I have tried since I began to use my respite allowance 6 years ago. My previous experience of this type of service has been not without its difficulties, my main complaint has been how dirty and
unkempt she has been upon collecting her to bring her home, I have never been able to understand how this can possibly be acceptable. This respite stay was excellent, she was not put with people who were mentally much worse than she is so her mental health was just as I had left her. She was clean and tidy, I did not have to shower her as soon as we got home as I had always had to do, all her clothes were laundered and ironed, all her belongings came home with her intact, which was an absolute first.
I could not recommend this home highly enough and the lovely staff and the manager who was so very helpful to me as I still find the initial parting very upsetting.

The care received by my grandmother has been second to none. Attentive staff, so personable and friendly, made her feel at home instantly.

The care home is very light and bright. Nan's room is lovely with sliding doors. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Great that we can make ourselves a drink in the waiting area. Lots of activities to do each day with lots of variety.

I am very happy with the care provided for my mum by Clayton Manor Care Home. The care staff and nursing staff are very helpful and always attend/assist with any issues or concerns I have with Mum's care.

No longer able to obtain domiciliary care to enable my father to stay in his own home, I was very anxious about the prospect of a nursing home. From the first contact with the manager at Clayton Manor Care Home, however, I began to relax. On the day of admission, he was warmly welcomed on the journey
and on arrival by a whole team of smiling faces. Carers, nurses, office staff and support staff are all professional, friendly, caring, compassionate and responsive. It took Dad a while to settle into his new surroundings but he is content and beginning to participate in activities despite his limitations. I am confident that he is safe and well looked after. The team welcomes feedback. All questions and requests are dealt with promptly. There's a pleasant garden room for visitors, lovely gardens and a little cafe area. I can't ask for more.

Always made to feel very welcome and the care of my spouse could not be improved upon. I cannot comment on the food as my wife is no longer able to eat there but pre-Covid she did and the standard was excellent at that time.

Dad was taken into hospital just before Christmas. He was adamant that he did not want to go in a care home but we were left with no choice. He said to me last week “I really like being here”. It is such a relief knowing he is being well looked after. A big thank you to all the staff.

The administration and staff have gone out of their way to make sure that my dad is safe, comfortable and happy since he moved onto the dementia floor and they are very responsive to his individual needs. They have also helped us by answering each of our questions and addressing each of our concerns
since Dad moved in and this has helped us through our own difficult transition.

Lovely, warm, homely place.
His room is cosy for him
Staff are so nice and friendly.
Dad seems comfortable and looked after.

Overall our family are happy with the care my dad receives.
There have been minor issues since he has been a resident in Clayton Manor, however, the issue was rectified once brought to the attention of staff. Certain staff show a great deal of love/compassion for him.

I was extremely happy to see my brother as lockdown has been very hard. He was pleased to see me and it seemed to cheer him up. I think it makes all the difference to the patients as it must be hard for them. The staff were very kind, helpful and thoughtful. They are wonderful, especially the Covid
support coordinator, general nurse and senior carer.

I am a qualified nurse with 21 years of experience in the NHS and 22 years of experience in the healthcare sector. I have a special interest in dementia care, and worked as a national dementia lead, before coming to manage Clayton Manor in 2020. Prior to this role, I managed an outstanding-rated home for 9 years. I love my job and work hard to ensure that people living and working here are happy, and safe and have the best we can possibly offer.
