My father is a fairly new resident at the home and this was his first Christmas there. He really enjoyed the experience. Since arriving the staff have been there to support him and help him settle in following a massive life change for him.

Lovely nursing home. My relative is well cared for. The staff work hard to ensure a healthy, clean and caring environment with a high standard of nursing care and also keeping the residents entertained with many activities. It feels like one big family. Any issues are reported promptly; eg: when my
relative had to move rooms due to a leak or they have had to call the doctor or if he needs anything. I know he is in very safe hands there and well cared for.

Easily accessed and standing in it's own attractive grounds, this imposing building is beautifully appointed and spacious with a number of very comfortable ground floor lounges, some with TV, some without. I visited my sister, who has only just moved in here, for the first time very recently and was
really pleased with the warm feel of the home. A member of staff showed me around the ground floor and took me upstairs to my sister's en suite room. This was nicely furnished and pleasantly warm.
We visited mid/late afternoon and before we left went into the dining room where residents had gathered for dinner. Tables were mixed size seating 2 to 6 people and I was pleased to see my sister on a table with 3 others, mixing and beginning, as far as she is able, to make friends. We left at that point but were able to see her 'tucking in' before we did so.
The staff seem genuinely caring and motivated and I came away feeling my sister was in safe hands.

The team at Davenham Hall are truely dedicated nurses and caring staff. Patients are treated with kindness and dignity. The home is so welcoming. Every member of staff were friendly. It has such a lively feel to it. The staff are amazing. This is the second relative to be cared for at Davenham and 3
years later they are still outstanding. Well done!

Choosing this residential home was easy. A warm, heartfelt welcome followed by a tour of the facilities. This home is vibrant, yet calming and well staffed. A home from home! An individual care plan is created and implemented. It is constantly reviewed to address the individual needs of each resident.
Residents feel safe, loved and cared for. As a family member, I feel reassured that the needs of the residents are extremely well catered for. Communication between the home and family are excellent. Residents can personalise their rooms, they have privacy and their dignity is maintained. Socialising opportunities are embedded in daily life. Residents are treated with respect and love. As a visiting family member, I am always made welcome.

My Mum has been a resident in the Dementia Care Unit of Davenham Hall Nursing Home for nearly 3 years now; because of Mum's condition, she is very vulnerable. During this time Mum has been well looked after by approachable, capable carers and nurses. The home is always kept clean and there is a friendly
atmosphere. The family are welcomed at any time they wish to visit.
There was recently an incident that, fortunately, didn't amount to Mum sustaining any injury and although the situation was highly regrettable, I was extremely pleased with the way that: firstly, a member of staff alerted management to the issue and secondly, the course of action the managers subsequently took in dealing with it. I was kept fully informed as events unfolded. I have every confidence that Mum is in safe hands and I commend the team for their dedication, compassion and commitment.

The staff go out of their way to ensure mum has everything she requires and always makes her feel at ease. Staff also make us as family members extremely comfortable and always offer

My mother has been in Davenham Hall for 4 weeks on EOL care, mixed feelings after failed promises of what care is/will be administered and available, I’m not 100% comfortable that the nursing care is the best available, I’m not in the medical profession but I’m a very good judge of character and use
my own judgment, sure it’s not the worst but it certainly isn’t the best, poor management and not very well led, health care assistants do a good job under what can be difficult circumstances, catering is good, wish I could say it was better but this is my true opinion of this care home. May I add that my mother has never been in any other care home so I’m sure there will be worse and better than this one.

My husband went to The Barns, to be assessed after having a seizure, on 24/09/18 until 23/10/18 straight from the hospital.
The staff were fantastic and always had time to talk and just listen.
They went beyond it just being a job.
All the other staff were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble
for them.
My husband is with me at home now (made friends for life), staff.
It's not just a job.
All the staff care, that makes a difference.

We were made so welcome by all the staff and this made our choice so easy after we visited. On my wife's four weeks stay for respite and now in full-time care. There was the sincerity, professionalism, affection and genuine care for her as an individual. All the staff knew our names within two days
and always a smile under such difficult circumstances. Both of us were individuals, not a number. Any request was greeted with a smile and immediate attention, nothing was too much trouble. All this still continues to this day.

To date, we have always found the staff, both nursing and carers to be attentive, friendly and helpful. We understand that the food is more than acceptable and is always enjoyed by my aunt. The one criticism we have is that on occasion, the call button is not to hand and sometimes when it is used, there
can be some delay before assistance arrives. Other than that, I can say my aunt is in a safe environment and is being well looked after.
