Hazelmere House features spacious and comfortable accommodation providing a warm and safe environment, with views of gardens and nearby parkland, en-suite rooms and tasteful colour schemes.

All bedrooms come with a remote-controlled TV and a 24-hour call system and some have French doors leading out to the garden.

Hazelmere House offers many forms of care, nursing and rehabilitation to elderly residents. Residential, convalescence and respite needs are welcome, with carers also experienced in palliative care, as well as being able to tailor solutions to the needs of other medical conditions like Parkinson’s and Huntington's.

Special diets and tastes are taken on board when preparing the food menu, with snacks, afternoon tea and homemade cake further additions.

Interests and hobbies are encouraged, with art therapy sessions and a mobile library complementing some of the social occasions and events added to the calendar. Regular days out can be enjoyed such as trips to Tatton Park, garden centres, the theatre and the Blackpool Illuminations.

Having looked at lots of places, this one has the nicest atmosphere and lovely facilities and staff, who proved to be supportive and welcoming when my mother had a brief stay for respite.
I would thoroughly recommend Hazelmere House Care Home to anyone and thank the management and staff for their
kindness.
One member of staff in particular was particularly kind to my mother and I'm so grateful.

Mum really enjoys her stay at Hazemere. She likes her room and with help is quite mobile around the home. Mum appreciates all the staff who she says are really kind and helpful. Close to her heart is food and she thoroughly enjoys all the meals which we have also sampled. A superb Sunday Lunch! She
enjoys the camaraderie of many if the guests - but especially enjoys the actives in the afternoon. The games (she is very competitive!), talks and demonstrations are all enjoyed! Perhaps a little more of this in the evening would make her stay perfect. We all appreciate Hazelmere and all the staff.

From the first viewing of Hazelmere House on behalf of my mum, I knew this was going to be home for her. The atmosphere is always warm, friendly and welcoming. The care is outstanding and that for me is a huge comfort, knowing she is safe. Plenty of good food and varied activities each day. The rooms
and communal areas are tastefully decorated. Hazelmere is everything I could have hoped for my mum.

Mum really enjoyed staying at Hazelmere House Care Home - loved the staff, the food and facilities. The only negative comment was that she had her breakfast and supper in her room and not in the dining area - I don't know if this was because she wasn't aware that the facility was open or whether it
wasn't open.

We are delighted with mum's first month at Hazelmere, it is everything we hope for and more. All the staff are so friendly and helpful as well as there are plenty of them so always someone available to help and nothing is too much trouble. In mum's own words when I asked her how it is she said "I love

Excellent care was provided by all the staff to my father. He passed in January at the age of 101 in familiar and peaceful surroundings. Care and compassion was provided with good grace. We couldn't have asked for anything more. The home is always clean and tidy and the food is nutritious. If there
was any care home to recommend, then I would have no hesitation in doing so for Hazelmere.

Very welcoming, friendly staff, efficient and happy. The food was good, and well presented with a good selection. The rooms were clean and fresh. All my needs were catered for. I would have preferred a shower every day but realise that the staff were extremely busy. I would also have felt safer with
a shower stool with a back on but that is really the only negative thing I can say. The quizzes and activities were fun and I am looking forward to my next stay.

My Mum has been a resident at Hazelmere for over 2 years now. I could not ask for better care for her, she is always treated with the utmost respect and kindness and her preferences are accommodated. Her medical needs have increased over time and the nursing team have always been on top of all her treatments
and medications. She has made friends with the other residents and greatly enjoys going down to lunch every day. When she is well enough to participate, she appreciates the great variety of activities that Home provides every week. The team are always very responsive to any requests and any maintenance issues etc. have been dealt with within 24 hours. The Home is very clean and the meals always look fresh and nutritious. I have no hesitation in recommending Hazelmere to anyone, whether for respite or residential care.

My friend really enjoys living here. All the care I have seen when I visit (at various times of the day) has been excellent, The variety of experiences is amazing, a really varied programme which I , and my friend, would never have expected. Delighted with the accommodation for my sister. Her room was clean, airy and well-furnished with a lovely view. Nursing staff were at all times so friendly, respectful and mindful of my sister's ongoing medical concerns. The management team helped throughout the four-week respite period providing support
not only for my sister but for myself. Medical guidance was also positive in setting targets for my sister to achieve. I was told that the meals were well balanced and enjoyable and my sister became engaged with some of the social activities once she had settled in. I would recommend the care home to anyone needing its services.

My mother has been a resident at Hazelmere House Care home for the past 14 months. During this time she has been treated with courtesy, kindness and respect by all members of staff she has come into contact with. She has made friends and takes part in many of the varied activities organised for the
residents. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff.
Hazelmere House Care Home has arranged chaperones to take Mum to and from hospital appointments when required, this has been especially helpful as I do not live locally.
The environment is always clean and tidy, restaurant facilities are pleasant and welcoming.
My mother’s health has improved immensely over the past year as medication has been managed very effectively with complementary services such as podiatry being arranged for residents on a regular basis.
I would recommend Hazelmere House Care Home wholeheartedly.

My career in the care sector dates back more than twenty years. It started in the NHS before my passion for occupational health drew me into CIPD in management, and eventually to a role with Bupa clinics.


Overall, I've been with Bupa for 15 years, and it was my most recent experience in managerial positions that made me so excited when I heard of the general manager position at Hazelmere House. I felt like I'd achieved everything I could with the clinics, and this opportunity just felt right.


My role with Hazelmere blends all the different skills I've learned in my career to date, from compliance to care and empathy. Every day is different though, and I ultimately have overall responsibility for everything; from the health and safety of the team to the happiness and well-being of the people that live here.


Hazelmere really is a distinguished home, and we're all proud of the reputation we're building. I'm surrounded by a really established team, almost like a family, and I think that in itself makes sure that Hazelmere feels like a home first and foremost.


It gives me great pride and motivation knowing that the team are in a position to make someone's life the best it could possibly be.

I spent most of my career working as an IT specialist in the manufacturing industry and when I felt ready for a fresh challenge and a new start, I just found myself naturally drawn to the care sector. I am very grateful that Bupa and Hazelmere House gave me the opportunity.
My first role here was actually as the maintenance person back in 2011. I'd never even considered becoming the Resident Experience Manager, but when the opportunity came up I was encouraged to apply... and I guess the rest is history, because I've been in love with the role every since.
It's a really diverse and rewarding position. I tend to be involved in a lot of show-rounds and make sure the admissions process runs smoothly. I also support all the hotel services here in the home - they can be so important in making sure people feel comfortable and reassured.
It can sometimes be quite sensitive when people come for a visit so the very least we can give them is a warm welcome and complete honesty. Trusted advice doesn't cost a penny, but it can be invaluable - and from a personal perspective, I really do get a lot of satisfaction from feeling that I'm making a different and making people happier.

I have been a chef manager for over 13 years. I started working in a care home in 2011 and fell in love with the environment and the residents - I worked my way up to the head chef and have never looked back, as if I can bring a smile to residents' faces with the food we provide, then I feel we have made a difference to their day.


As well as being a full-time chef, I am also a mother and I love spending my spare time with family.
