Set within the beautiful Cheshire countryside, in the rural village of Bollington, this Georgian home has been carefully modernised and refurbished to provide a high standard of accommodation and facilities.

Committed to providing individualised care, Mount Hall is a nursing home with a dedicated team of staff who work hard to understand the needs of each resident.

Care plans are offered for short and long term needs and include palliative and Parkinson's care.

Most bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and views of the large landscaped gardens and all can be personalised to promote familiarity.

The chef is proactive in getting to know each resident’s dietary needs and checks regularly to make sure residents remain happy by offering a selection of tasty and nutritious homemade meals.

Residents benefit from the home’s dedicated activity coordinator who arranges both daily and monthly activities such as film afternoons and garden parties.

Mum has been a resident at Mount Hall since September 2019. She had been unsure of moving into care but the staff helped her to settle very quickly and she now calls it her home.
She has a lovely room with her own en-suite and pretty views over the garden and fields. Each time we speak she tells me
how contented she is and how kind and helpful the staff are. She has participated in various activities in the lounge and enjoys socialising.
During the past Covid times I have had regular video calls with Mum and the staff have organised these.
I would definitely recommend Mount Hall as it is a caring environment with kind and helpful staff.

It has been a very challenging time for all care homes, and I feel Mount Hall has done an incredible job of keeping its residents safe. They have kept family well informed of their Covid policies and any changes to them as they happened, often reacting quickly if a positive case was registered.
They
offered regular video calls during the periods that the home was closed to visitors, and this was invaluable to both my dad and my family.
All the staff have been very friendly and welcoming towards us all since Dad came to Mount Hall in December 2021, particularly caring towards my 86-year-old mum, who visits regularly.
Now Covid restrictions have been lifted for activities, I would be interested to hear what the home is planning in the upcoming months.
Thank you to everyone at Mount Hall for your continued care.

From the time I viewed Mount Hall on behalf of my mum I just knew this was right for her.


The staff are kind, considerate, and caring. The decor and furnishings are classic and smart. Anything that a resident requires or requests is dealt with straight away.


Although my mum has not been there

very long, we are all very happy that we chose Mount Hall.

We had a shaky start as senior staff didn't seem to understand that his vascular dementia was not very severe and was more of a forgetful problem - he had had COVID in hospital and his kidneys are failing, he's been under the care of the hospital so his body is basically end of life. Once the staff
got mental experts in, everything became alright and they understood how to look after him.

My mum has been a resident at Mount Hall since October 2019.
Her room looks out over farmland at the back of the property and she enjoys watching the cattle and sheep on the fields from her chair when she is in her room.
There are daily activities and the staff work tirelessly to look after all
the residents and all their needs. We also receive regular updates of any changes.
From the time you step inside the front door, the staff are friendly and extremely helpful.
I would recommend Mount Hall to anyone and am so pleased my 93-year-old mother is in such a caring place. Every time I leave her I feel reassured she is in good hands. The standard of care is excellent and I would like to thank all the staff for the care my mum receives.

My aunt is very content and happy at Mount Hall and frequently expresses her satisfaction with all aspects of her care. This includes not only the carers - who she cannot praise highly enough for their attention and professionalism - but also other staff including the catering staff who cheerfully accommodate

My mother will be 100 next month. She has been cared for at Mount Hall for nearly 10 years. The standard of care she receives is excellent and she has a lovely room which has been redecorated recently. I have only ever seen the staff treating her with kindness and dignity. She responds to them with
smiles and laughter which is very reassuring to me. I am so grateful to everyone at Mount Hall for being there for my mother at this time in her life.

I visited a friend and parishioner to give Holy Communion. I was very impressed by the environment and the staff. In the course of my work, I visit a number of homes and I think Mount Hall Care Home is one of the best I have visited.

Excellent experience from arranging care (10-day respite care) to meeting the home manager and care staff. Dad was greeted and made to feel at home immediately. The staff were really helpful and proactive.
Unfortunately, due to COVID restrictions, I was unable to accompany my dad into the care home
so I can't comment directly on the facilities or activities, but I have no concerns that they are not excellent.

Mum continues to be very well looked after by the wonderful and caring staff at Mount Hall, in what must be extremely challenging times. I feel very grateful for all that they do.
I have been reassured by the communications explaining that they have all the PPE they need and the outline and cleaning
protocols.
Being able to talk to Mum and see her over FaceTime is also very reassuring for me. Thank you to all at Mount Hall.

My mum has been at Mount Hall since October 2019 and the family are extremely happy with the professional care she has received during this time. She enjoys going into the longe to join in with the daily activities which are very varied and well organised by the team. The food is of a high standard.
It has been a difficult year for everyone due to COVID, but we have been kept informed with the latest government guidelines on a weekly basis and especially FaceTime calls which have been a lifeline for all of us.

This has been an extraordinary time due to the "virus" but the staff and the carers have carried on, as usual, being helpful and cheerful and the kitchen is still giving us good food. I am full of admiration for them. This is my fourth year here and the home is "business as usual" and this 97-year-old
is glad to be a resident.

My mum has settled in well at Mount Hall and seems to be enjoying the company rather than living on her own. She tells me that the staff are very nice and the food is lovely. She has a lovely big room looking out on the garden where she loves to watch the birds from her window. She enjoys the events

Francisca Owusu-Ansah

Job Title: Home Manager

Joined: 2020

My first role in Bupa was as a staff nurse, then unit manager, before progressing to clinical deputy manager and then home manager in June 2024.


I qualified as a Registered nurse in Ghana in 2002. I have previous experience of working in the NHS and as a haemodialysis nurse for a private dialysis company. The bulk of my experience has however been working in care homes in a variety of roles. Although I have pursued other career ambitions, my passion for working with the elderly always brought me back to the sector.


I love working here as it means so much to me to be part of a supportive team that continuously strives to be world class in the care in the we deliver, through meaningful engagement with residents, their families and staff.


I am a mother of four and in my spare time I and enjoy spending time with my family. The highlight of my weekend is cheering on my little boy and budding footballer at the touchline. I have a passion for fully committing to everything I do both professionally and in my personal life. I enjoy being support to others in any way I can.

I have been married for 38 years, and have two grown-up sons. In my spare time, I enjoy eating out trying new food and going away on holiday with my family - my husband and sons are my world!
